Brothers best friend {SPROUSEHART}

Part 2 ~ the talk

            

They are living together for 2 weeks now and tomorrow school starts again, Lili is happy about that, cause then she doesn't need to be at home all the time.  Sad enough, she is at the same school as KJ. Since they moved she hasn't really spoke to anyone, her mom is way to busy and she isn't in the mood for her sisters.

She wants to go to the library so puts a note on the counter and leaves.

Today school starts again, well it doesn't really start, but Lili needs to get her books and stuff.

Once she's at school she sees her best and only friend Camila, she walks up to her and they hug.

"Hey Lils, how was you summer. We haven't talked at all!"

"Yeah, cause you went to some place without service."

She laughs and she tells her everything.

"Okay, wow, that's a lot," she says after she told her about her summer.

"I know."

"But when do I get to meet this mysterious stepbrother."

Lili punches her and they walk inside.

After she got her books she goes home.

She didn't have a big back, so she's walking with half of the books in her arms.

In the hall she walks up to someone, a boy.

"Seriously KJ, can't you watch where you go for once!" she snaps.

She looks up and then sees that the boy right in front of her isn't KJ. Right in front her stand a tall, black-haired, handsome boy

"You aren't KJ," she says.

"No, I'm not. My name is Cole, you must be Lili," he says

"I sure am."

He helps her grab her books and then they both go their own ways.

Cole walks into KJs room and says: "I met your Lili, why you didn't tell me she was cute?"

"Cause she's not."

Cole sighs and then they both grab a controller and start to game.

Lili jumps on her bed and thinks back to the boy she just met. But shakes it off quickly, who would ever like her?

Then she hears something break downstairs and someone slaps the door. On her bare foots she walks downstairs into the kitchen, Keneti storms out when she enters and she stands in a piece of glass.

The blood is coming out her foot fast and she sits down trying to get the glass splinter out of her foot. Then she notices how much blood is coming out of her foot.

"They had a fight, like usually." She notices Cole, who is sitting at the kitchen table, slowly drinking his ice tea.

"Well, that's their business," she says and turns around again to walk away.

Cole -who notices the blood track she's making- starts to talk again: "You're bleeding and not a bit."

"I was aware of that," Lili said annoyed.

"Let me help you, here go sit." He stands up and gets a aid-kit.

"You hurt yourself pretty bad."

"I didn't, they did with their stupid fight," Lili says mad.

"Okay this is maybe going to hurt a little," Cole says about getting the glass out her foot.

A severe pain is filling in her foot, but she's staying strong.

When Cole is done she thanks her and wants to walk away, but a hand on her wrist is stopping her from going.

"I helped you and now I would really like it if you stay here with me and talk till KJ is back."

"Fine."

"Okay, what was your first thought when you met KJ? He asked.

"What a douc bag."

"Do you still think that?"

"Yes, I definitely do."

"But why?"

Lili needed to think before she answered, cause she didn't really know why.

"I don't know, maybe it's because the look he gave me when I first met him, he looked at me with this look that said: You're strange and you know it. And because I know that it just hurt me I think. But you have to promise me you never tell him that."

"You said that you know you'restrange, but why do you think you're strange, cause I don't think you're strange, I think you special, and I don't even know you."

"That's sweet, but now it's my turn to ask you something," she says with a little naughty smile.

"I'm ready."

"KJ stormed out and wont be back in a long time, but you're still sitting in my house. why?"

"Cause I'm not in the mood to go home and I'm having a conversation with you."

"Fair enough, your turn."

And that's how they talked for another hour, till Cole really needed to go. On his way home his thoughts stayed at Lili, about how they talked and laughed like they knew each other for years.

Lili had the same thoughts, but she was also thinking about Cole calling her perfect. She thought she was a strange, ugly and weird girl, but he called her perfect.

KJ got home half an hour after Cole left, his dad told him to clean the kitchen and then he wouldn't get in trouble. Lili was kind of curious what the fight was about, but she decided to let it.

After they al ate in silence with a tense in the air, Lili went upstairs to pack her bag and read a book, after that she went to sleep, worried about how school was going to be tomorrow.

Lili wakes up with the horrifying noise of her alarm, she grabbed her bag and walked downstairs to shower.

She's just done showering when she hears hard knocks on the bathroom door.

"What?" she yells while putting on her pants.

"I need to shower," She hears KJ saying.

"If you could wait 5 minutes , I'll do my make-up in the kitchen."

"Just hurry up!"

She sighs and after 4 minutes he walks out of the bathroom with a little bit of make-up in her hands.

KJ walks in without saying a word and she goes to the kitchen.

She boils some water for her tea and gets some yoghurt.

When she's fully ready for school the bell rings. Lili walks to the door and opens it for a smiling Camila.

"Okay, lets go," Lili says, but Camila shakes her head.

"No way, I want to say hello to your family, I haven't seen then all summer."

After Cami said hello to everyone they can finally go.

Cole arrives at school and walks to a grumpy looking KJ and says: "Well good morning sunshine, what's wrong with you."

"Lili, that stupid girl was in the bathroom when I wanted to shower."

Cole laughs and they walk inside. Charles walks up to them and says: " Is what I heard right bro? Are you really living in the same house as that geek Lili?"

"Yes, have mercy."

Something in Cole wanted to stick up for Lili, but he decided not to do it, he didn't want to get in a fight with his best friend.
