The night was dark and quiet for a halloween night, almost not children were out, Tess looked out the window with a bowl of candy in her hands. "Odd, no children this night." She looked down at her dog, Coco, who was rolling around on the floor. He (Coco) started to bite on his dog toy while wagging his tail, Tess looked down at the candy as she sighed.
Next thing you know, Tess was eating some of the candy while petting Cocos head. "Knock knock." Coco's ears popped up while the door was being knocked on, non-stop. Tess opened the door before even checking who it was and there was a tall man, he was wearing a mask that was the shape of a goat, red stains on his clothes. Next to him was a little girl who was wearing a red ridding hood costume, but she also had red satin on her costume.
Both were very quiet and still.. "Cool custumes." Tess said as she placed the rest of the candy into their bags. "Goodnight, happy halloween. She closed the door slowly while her palms were sweating. She looked through the peep hole... There they were, still standing, but now the little girl was smiling in a crazy way. "They'll go away, soon.." She said.
Tess hit off most of the lights as she walked into her room, quickly wrapped the blanket around herself. Coco started to bark a lot in the other room which was really annoying for her. Soon he stopped baking at last, but he didn't jump onto the bed like he always did.
'"Coco!" He still didn't come so she dragged herself out of the bed with the blanket still wrapped around her. "Knock knock" Tess looked at the door, that knocking made her shake and jump, still no sign of Coco either. She looked through the peep hole again and there was the same little girl, but Tess heard her laughing and looking at the peep hole, at Tess...
Shivers ran down her spine as she quickly turned on the lights. "Where's that man..." Suddenly she saw the tall man standing next to Coco who was laying on the ground, sleeping. "Get out.. Don't come any closer!" The man was still standing there with rope in his hands, Tess heard his breathing through the mask as he slowly walked towards her. There was nothing to grab to defend herself so she kept backing away from him. Finally.. He grabbed her and put a bag over her head.
Her bright blue eyes slowly opened, she saw a bright light looking down at her. Her hands and legs were tied up tighyly, she also laying on a table. "Papa, are you working already?" In her sights, she could see jars of eyeballs in them and dolls with real eyes. She saw the same man, but without the mask. "Look at those eyes. So bright, such a pretty blue color." He said as he was smiling in a uneasy way. "Those eyes will look great for my new doll." The little girl added as she giggled and twirled around with tools in her hands. "Thank you for letting us use your eyes...."

I wrote this short horror story for my classroom since our teacher wanted to write a scary story. I was too shy to read it so a teacher read it out loud. Everyone seem to love the story and some kids came up to me, wanting to read more of my books. Which made me soooooo happy and made me blush. (Yay!!)
