Darkness...
All around me is a black abyss. How did I get here? I ask myself. Endless shadows follow me everytime I take a step.
"Hello? Is anyone here?" I call out.

A mumbled reply finds me. I follow the voice, eager to know who was here with me. If there was someone here, they could help me.
As I walked deeper, I noticed scattered pieces of concrete becoming more frequent. A siren was heard, becoming more louder. Somehow this siren was familiar to me. Could it be from a game? A movie? a tv show? Perhaps I'll never know.

Something seemed off about this.
The ground seemed to shake as a large monster rose from the abyss. It was 10 times larger than me. The beast's eyes glowed under its hair. It roared as I screamed in fear. It saw me. It growled and swatted at me, barely missing my head.

Run...

Run...

Run...

The beast swatted a clawed hand at me again. It knocked me off my feet, but I wasn't injured, just a few scratches.
Run..
I scrambled to my feet and ran. I ran through darkness as the beast chased after me.
The siren was louder than ever.
I was getting tired, but I couldn't stop. I had to run. I looked around me at the rubble on the ground. I picked one large piece up and threw it at the monster. The concrete hit its shoulder and shattered.
Nothing...
I picked up another piece and targeted the head.
Nothing...
It only roared in infuriating anger and ran toward me. I screamed.
Run.
It seemed as if I wasn't going anywhere, and the monster was gaining.
This has to be a dream... It has to be... I thought as I thrusted forward, giving all I could.
Run!
Until I lost.
The beast pounced on me. It pressed its large hand on my chest, my head between its scaly fingers.
"Please don't!" I cried desperately. "Help! Someone! Help!"
The monster looked down at me, proud that I would be a new trophy...for his stomach. It seemed to chuckle, more sounding like a growl.
And then I was lunch.

A loud bell rang, and I immediately awoke exhausted.
Desk...
Classroom...
Teacher...
School bell...
I sighed.
It was only just a dream...
Someone next to me nudged my arm.
"Are you ok, Jessie?" Caithlyn asked concerned.
"Yeah," I replied rubbing my eye, "just had a weird dream."
