"If this is your way of apologizing, you're doing a horrid job," I snapped, pushing him off me.

"What do I have to apologize for?" He asked, bewildered.

"I don't know, Brandon. What do you have to apologize for?" I scoffed and opened my car door, sliding into the drivers seat and starting the car, backing out of the driveway. I swear he wasn't going to wake up tomorrow. For now, I just had to put on a happy face and suck it up. He wasn't going to win. He drove me crazy..but he could actually be pretty sweet if he wanted to..What was I saying? No he couldn't. Not possible. Brandon being sweet was a zero percent chance. I pulled into a parking space and hopped out of the car, bag in my hand. If that boy had a death wish..

I raced towards the school, not bothering to look at my sides to check for cars, they could wait.

"Julianne, watch out!" Those were the last words I heard before everything went black.

There was a terribly annoyed beeping sound coming from my right side, I groaned, "Will somebody please shut that stupid sound off?"

I heard an awfully familiar chuckle, that chuckle could only belong to one person. I shot up, causing a sharp pain to come to my head, and the machine to beep louder. I slowly backed down, "What are you doing here, Brandon?" I asked, not bothering to mask the annoyance in my voice. I winced as the pain in my head grew greater.

"You got in an acciedent and I brought you to the hospital, I thought it would be rude to leave you here all by yourself, so I stayed," he offered a small smile.

"I wouldn't have gotten into it if you hadn't been such an ass, where are my parents?" I asked, eager to get a reason for Brandon to leave.

"They're coming," he muttered.

I scoffed and stared up at the ceiling, this day could not get any worse. "I don't need you to stay here, you can leave. In fact, I think it's better for my health if you just leave, okay?"

"I'm not leaving you," he said quietly from my side.

"Why not? You've already caused enough trouble," I snapped.

"Because," he breathed, "Deep down you know that you want me to stay, you can't just forget your feelings."

I let out a laugh, "What feelings!? Do you even hear yourself? I could never have feelings for you, you're not my mate, the only person I will ever have feelings for is my mate, and guess what? That's not you, get that in your head." I immediately felt guilty after saying that, but I said it in spite of the moment.

"Just get some rest, Juli."

***

My eyes fluttered open, had I fallen asleep? I sat up carefully, he was still here. Why? I don't know. After what I had said to him..

"I'm still here because I care, Juli."

I blushed, did I really say that out loud? "You can leave if you want, I'm sure they'll let me out soon," I glanced down at the cast on my leg, "Even if it'll be hard to walk."

He shook his head and I sighed, wondering how he could go from such an ass to a nice person. Maybe he hit his head too..

It was a possibility, something that actually made sense. "Why are you being so nice to me?" I blurted.

He looked up at me, a little startled from my question, but he cleared his throat and answered me, "I think you know why."

I narrowed my eyes, "The real reason, now."

"You're my mate, that's the only reason. Is that so hard to understand?" He whispered, his face only inches from mine.

I blushed and tried to keep my focus but he was..he was just so close, his scent was getting in the way of my thoughts.

"Mr.Richards has she woken up yet?" A nurse asked as she walked into the room, her head burried in the paperwork that she carried in her arms.

He immediately straightened up and gave the nurse a smile, "Yes, she woke up a few minutes ago."

The nurse walked over to the hospital bed and sat down carefully, "How are you feeling hon?"

I looked at Brandon, who gave me a stern look and then back at her, "I'm feeling fine, when am I being released?"

"A couple weeks?"

I choked on my own spit, "Weeks?"

She nodded, "We need to make sure you're well enough to be able to walk in crutches."

I hesitantly asked, "What about school?"

She chuckled, "You're boyfriend over here has offered to bring your school work here every day after school."

"Oh, um, he's not--we're not--" I sighed, "Thanks."

She nodded once again and got up to leave the room. I raised an eyebrow, "Boyfriend?"

He chuckled nerveously, "That was the only way they were going to let me stay up here."

"Should've just left then, you're going to be bored out of your mind, if I am stuck in here then all I will be doing is watching Pretty Little Liars all day and night," I pointed out, looking around for the tv remote.

"I'll watch them with you."

***

I found myself drifting off to sleep after three episodes of Pretty Little Liars while Brandon was still going strong, it was probably the medicine that was making me so sleepy. The last thign I felt before I drifted off was Brandon's arms wrapping around me.

***

I was woken up by the sound of Brandon's voice telling me that it was time to take my medicine.

"Do I have to?" I asked him groggily.

"Only if you want to get better and get out of here," he answered, motioning the nurse to come forward.

I rubbed my eyes and was helped to sit up by Brandon, the nurse handed me a couple pills and a glass of water. I drowned the pills down with the water and handed the glass back to her, "Thanks," I muttered. She nodded, smiling and picked up her clipboard before leaving the room.

"I, should probably go home and change.."

I don't know why I said what I did next, but it just came, "Can you wait until I fall asleep?" I gave him a pleading look and he nodded slowly before sitting down on the side of my bed and wrapping his arms around me.

I allowed my eyes to slowly close and drift off to sleep.
