New Year, New school.

It was my first year here at Saint Jude's. As you can imagine as any other 12 year old I was more than nervous. My past school was public and I was lucky that the school hadn't made me repeat a grade. This school was different. I noticed how huge the campus was. I remember having to go up many flights up stairs to find my classes. I had English first period.

I walked in the classroom examining the new faces. Surprisingly my twin brother and I, Max were in the same class. I felt very comforted about the fact that I would at least have someone I knew in my class. Then I saw Jen, I haven't talked to her in a while.

Jen was depressed and suicidal. Last year she almost overdosed and was sent to the hospital. I was going through something's with this guy and the time so I began self harming. Over the summer I stopped and overcame my issues, I only wished Jen had too.

The teacher looked young and alive. She was a female I was assuming by her voice but then doubting my decision from her boyish haircut. She then says to take out our phones. Odd. Our first assignment was to pick a quote and write it on the index card she had provided for us. Then she dismissed us. Weird thing about thai school is that we don't have bells and the teachers dismiss us.

Next period was homeroom, super small class. I saw about 10 people. I would like to say I am a very shy person but that just wouldn't be true. I was awfully loud hopefully willing to get someone's attention and start conversation. I met this cute little Filipino girl. Her name was Ciara.

We began talking and I realized that we were exactly alike. Her mom worked at the same medical facility that my mom did, she lived in the same area, and she was cute! Practically twins.
