Chapter 1

Oasis Honour (Waverly)'s POV

First of all, I didn't want this. Didn't need this. I was a perfectly normal girl until I turned 13. Then I got chased by my history teacher.

Sorry, I'm getting carried away. My name is Waverly, but now I am widely known as Oasis Honour (it is my elder name), and I am about to tell you about the past three years of my life. Starting on my thirteenth birthday.

I was walking down the corridor to my locker with my two friends Alexus and Laurel. At this time of my life, I was a quite, insecure teenage girl, who hid under a fake confident attitude. I had a friend who was outgoing and a prankster and another friend who was sarcastic and a troublemaker. Come to think of it, I don't know how I became friends with them. I think it had something to do with the food fight that semester at the lunch area.

"Hey Waverly, what are you doing this weekend?" asked Laruel. Laurel had long blonde hair and hazel eyes which always had a cheeky sparkle in them. She always and I mean always wore neon yellow ripped jeans, a orange tank top with the slogan 'There is no one alive more youer than you!' in bright pink and a blue jacket when it was cold, which was most of the time in Melbourne.

"Laurel, I know you and Alexus are planning on going to that party on Sunday and are plotting drag me along too but Mr Jameson set a test on history on Monday and I kinda want to pass that test cause it counts as part of our final grade." I said to her. To me at the time, grades were important and Mr Jameson was my favourite teacher.

"Teacher's pet." mumbled Alexus. "I don't see why you like Jameson. He's-" she was interrupted by Ms C, who walked up to me.

"Miss Waverly. Mr Jameson wants to see you in his classroom ten minutes after the belll goes." she said to me. I nodded and she walked away.

"Why does she have to pay attention to you and not to us?" asked Alexus.

"She's probably still sore after that prank you pulled on her." I tell her. We had arrived at our lockers.

"What? The one where we tipped blue food dye on her and she was blue for the rest of the day? She's still bitter about that?" Laurel asked as we open our lockers and pulled our bags out.

"Probably." I shrugged. "Anyways see you guys later." I slung my bag over my black hoddie, waving bye to my two friends as we walked in opposite directions.

I arrived at room 236. It was on the 2nd floor and my locker was on the first floor outside room 127. Our school was huge and even year 9's, who had been at the school for three years had difficulty finding their way around. I knocked on the door.

"Come in, Waverly." Came the voice of my history teacher. I went inside leaving the door open. "Sit down." Mr Jameson said. I sat down in one of the classroom chairs. "Now Waverly, do you know why you are here?" he asked.

"Um... the history test?" It came out more as a question than an answer.

"No." He smiled, almost evil like. "You are here because I was searching the elemental database for full elementals. And guess who's name came up?" He paused and I felt confused. Elemental database? What the hell was that? "Yours. My, my, Oasis Honour, you have been keeping secrets from me."

"What are you talking about?" I asked and got out from my chair and slowly backed away from him. "My, my name isn't Oasis Honour. It's, it's Waverly."

"Of course Waverly." Mr Jameson said. "However your elder name is Oasis Honour, and in the elemental world you will be known as such. Imagine, Oasis Honour, the last full elemental." He laughed wickedly. "But, you will be dead before they know your name. You will die by the hand of Oliver Ryan, by the hand of me."

By that time I was at the door. When I heard Mr Ja- I mean, Oliver Ryan's last words I bolted. I know, not really brave of me but wouldn't you?

"Oasis Honour you cannot hide. I control air and well, there's air everywhere." He yelled as I ran towards the main entrance.

"What are you?!" I yell hiding behind a wall. The school doors were so close.

"Waverly, Waverly, Waverly no one told you?" he shook his head.

''What are you talking about?!" I call back.

"You are the last full elemental Waverly Oasis Honour. You can control earth, air, fire, water, and if you practise you can spirit walk."

"Spirit walk?" I was confused.

"Well it's-" he was cut short when a girl ran in with fire dancing on hands. She shot a blast towards Oliver Ryan.

The girl, who looked around my age, was tall and had auburn hair that was in a high ponytail. She had brown eyes and was wearing a black singlet crop top and black leggings that went down to her knee, on her side was a sword, like the ones I learnt about when our class was studying the Vikings.

"Get out of here Oliver Ryan! Or may the Elders curse you!" the girl shouted. Olvier Ryan held his hands up and ran off. The girl turned to me just as my vision started blacking out...
