part 4 ~ The party

            

Lili is reading on the couch to distract herself when the door opens; Cole and KJ walk in with a keg.

Lili looks up and sees the boys bringing it to the kitchen. Cole waves at her, but KJ fully ignores her, like usual.

Then they walk out again, coming back with red cups, a lot of red cups. Lili looks at her book again when KJ says: "Can't you read somewhere else?"

"Why?"

"Cause your in my way."

"I'm on the couch and I've not even said a word or moved, so go away yourself."

KJ sighs and then goes to the kitchen, Cole following him. Lili hears them laugh and then goes into her book again.

After an hour she walks into the kitchen to make dinner.

"Are you eating here Cole?" She asks.

Before Cole can answer KJ says: "Yes, so make enough."

She starts cooking; Spaghetti Bolognese, something her mom learned her to make when she was young.

When she's done she goes up to her room with her plate en tells KJ and Cole that they're food is downstairs.

Around nine when the party has already started Lili walks downstairs; she's wearing some ripped jeans, a Bordeaux red shirt and a pink demin jacket. Music is blasting and there a lot of people drinking, dancing and laughing.

They're a lot of people, some she knows, a lot of them she has seen in school, but there are a few she doesn't recognize.

She doesn't fit in and she knows it, still she doesn't want to go back to her room, she wants to explore. She wants to see how this is going to work out, will the house be totally ruined tomorrow or will these people keep the house standing. Those are just things that she never got to explore, because she didn't fit in and now she will find out if she's gonna like it or not.

She had found already one thing she didn't like; the blasting music, it was bad music and way too hard. But the thing she did like was that no one really noticed her, it was like she did fit in, nobody gave her weird looks, cause she was just someone on a party, she wasn't wearing her school clothes and she wasn't reading, she was being a teenager.

Then Madelaine walked up to her: "Hey Lili, you must be in for some truth or dare."

She looked at her confused but then answered: " Sure, I think."

Madelaine took her to where the couch used to stand. Now there were people sitting in a circle on the ground, with a bottle of alcohol in the middle of them.

She didn't know much of the people in that circle, but she did know Cole.

Someone started to talk: "Okay, the rules. Just truth or dare, bt if you skip you need to take a shot of alcohol, clear?"

Everybody nodded and then the game started. Lili got one stupid truth about living with KJ, but then it was Cole his turn.

"Dare," he said to Madelaine.

"Well, since you've been staring at Lili the whole time, I dare you to kiss her.... Ten seconds and if you don't, then our sweet Lili will have to take a shot too."

Lili sees Cole thinking and then he walks to her, they both stand up and Cole whispers something in Lili's eyes and she nods.

They both slowly lean in and connect their lips, it was a soft and slow kiss, then someone screamed that the ten seconds were over. They split for a second, but then started again, this time a bit more rough. Then they finally really stopped and looked at each other with surprised faces.

They both liked it, they really did. The faces of the two are red, like red as a tomato and they don't keep they're eyes of each other. Then someone says: "We asked for a kiss, not a whole make-out session."

Everybody laughed, including the two, but then they noticed how many people were looking at them. It weren't just those people they played truth or dare with, a lot more people saw them kiss, Cole kissed the weirdo and he didn't care and Lili felt so happy, but miserable at the same time. This would haunt her at school forever, probably in the negative way.

They both sit down again and the game goes one like nothing happened. But something did happen and all the players knew, because in not time lili got the dare: "I dare you to sit in Cole his lap till the game ends."

She glanced at Cole and he nodded. She walked over to him and went to sit in his lap and of course they both secretly liked it.

After a while Lili was getting tired and she was leaning at Cole, without even knowing. Cole didn't care tough; he thought it was pretty cute.

Then the game ended, Lili stands up and immediately walks away. Cole goes to the bottle of alcohol, taking a big sip out it. Then he goes to the kitchen where he drinks beer. He isn't getting drunk,  but KJ is.

Around 2 A.M the house is getting emptier and emptier, until there's only Lili and drunk KJ and his drunk friends.

Lili is in the kitchen cleaning a bit when she hears the door slamming; she goes to look and sees that all the boys are gone.

Finally, now I clean, she thinks.

After two full hours she's done in the kitchen, lets just say that it was a huge mess and that there was pizza on the walls and puke in the sink.

It is 4 A.M and then she hears the bell ringing, she opens it and Cole is standing in front of the door. When Lili opens the door she doesn't notice anything weird, but then when he walks into the living room –where's some light- she sees that there's a lot of blood covering him.
