As you slowly and gracefully made your way down the staircase you could feel the amazed stares. Your long, blue dress flowed behind you ocean waves. Every step you took was angelic and beautiful, as if it matched the way you looked. You ran your fingers swiftly through your long, silky hair and gave it a flip. The eyes of your parents and date were glued to you as you made it to the last couple of steps. You took a step; accidently getting your pumps stuck in your long dress, causing you to clumsily fall down the last few steps to the hard, wooden floor. Your body rested at the feet of your parents and date as they kneeled down to help you up. “(YN).” You tried to open your eyes and see through the darkness but you couldn’t, it was like they were glued shut. “Wake up.” Your image of walking into prom with a hot date, white limo, and beautiful dress slowly slipped from your mind as the voice became louder. “(YN), wake up. You have company.” Your eyes finally fluttered open but you weren’t greeted by the sights of your date and anxious parents but instead you awoke to all whiteness and the voice.

Voice: “Seems like she’s asleep; don’t worry she’ll be up in a couple of minutes. *Footsteps* “Thanks again for volunteering; most teens would rather not spend their extra time at a hospital.”

You looked around and realized that you were laying under your clean, white sheets once again. The smell that filled your nose was familiar and plain as you inhaled the hospital air. It always smells the same. You looked down at your body; you weren’t wearing a marvelous, blue dress but instead your pale hospital dress. Your fingers slowly traveled up to your head as you traced your head, hoping to find long, silky hair; but instead you felt your cold, smooth scalp.

Unfamiliar Other Voice: “No problem Dr. Roger, I don’t mind helping out.”

Voice: “Well just sit on that chair beside her bedside until she wakes up. I’ll be back in an hour or so to check up on you two.” *Footsteps out the door*

You were laying completely hidden under your blankets as you heard footsteps from the other person walking in your direction. You could hear them sitting beside your bed on the nearby chair as you continued to pretend to be asleep. Who the hell is that? Their voice doesn’t sound familiar. You couldn’t see anything through your blankets as you shifted you body a little bit uncomfortably. The person slowly got up and walked directly next your bed and stood over it, grabbing something from the corner of the bed.

You could hear the person unfolding one of your other blankets as they neared your body, slowly laying it on top of your body gently. Who the hell, no… what the hell? No one’s done that to me since my mother. You quickly sat up, throwing the blankets off your body urgently to see who the hell was in your room. The person had their back to you as your eyes landed on them frantically. You had caught them right when they were walking back to the chair, leaving them off guard. The person’s clothes, hair, and body looked unfamiliar.

You: “Who are you?”

The person’s body tensed up a little from your sudden outburst but they slowly turned around, revealing their face. Dark skin, strong jawbone, brown eyes, black Mohawk and bright smile. He was… beautiful? His stare was intense as he stared at you uncomfortably, trying to make an excuse for why he had laid another blanket on you.
