Red Velvet (레드벨벳) is a South Korean girl group from SM Entertainment. It consists of four girls. Seulgi, Irene, Wendy, and Joy. The group debuted in August 2014 with their song Happiness. The group's name brings together red, a fiery and seductive color, and velvet, which evokes feminine and soft images.
