The Playlist // Ricci Rivero Fanfiction (On-Hold)

Kabanata 25

It's the day after nagkita nanaman kami ni Ricci. Also the day after I met his girlfriend, third na niya ito if hindi niyo alam. Tumawag narin ako sa band and they're actually going to play next, Kath is surely going to be replacing me today. Nanood nalang ako sa live ng 9DG. 

I'm sitting at the back most seat dito sa van with kuya Rasheed. Pupunta raw kaming MoA ngayon, para ipasyal silang dalawa. I actually missed him more than Ricci lol. Pinindot ko yung live stream ni Azrael sa Instagram to watch their performance. Their playing the classic Teenage Dream, hindi ko alam bakit pero it's the management that decides kung ano yung tutugtugin ng banda. 

Nanood rin si kuya Rasheed kasabay ko and we both sang with the band. Maraming tao ang naki-abang at nanood sa kanila ngayon, and when I read the comments, nakita kong marami ring nagtatanong kung bakit raw wala ako. I quickly turned off the comments para hindi mahalata ni kuya Rash. 

"90 Degrees Green ba yan?" Ricci asked out of the blue. His arm is resting on Ellie's shoulder, while facing us at the back. Nasa second seat kasi silang dalawa, tapos sina kuya Prince, Gelo, Ashton and si Allen ay nasa third seat. Pa special no? Edi waw. 

"Oo." Tipid kong sagot. Nagpatuloy akong nanood sa kanilang show as they continued to sing the rest of the playlist. Sayang nga ito pa naman yung pinakamagandang set. Sana hindi nalang ako umuwi if eto lang naman yung madadatnan ko. 

"I thought tapos na yung show niyo? Eh, why are they still having another one?" I rolled my eyes and forced myself to answer. Hindi ko nga lang na kontrol yung pananalita ko. 

"Anong pake mo if uuwi ako? Pinayagan naman nila ako." 

"Ina. Ano bang problema niyong dalawa?" Awat ni kuya Prince. I can't help it. Senyas ko sa kaniya. Muling humarap si Ricci sa kaniyang harapan and leaned his head on Ellie's shoulder. 

"I was just asking. Siya yung may problema-" 

"Ricci. Tama na nga yan." Putol ni kuya Rasheed. 

Pinatay ko nalang yung phone ko at nag pagtugtog sa Spotify. Ilang minuto pa ang lumipas, nakarating narin kami sa MoA at lumabas na ako sa van pagkatapos nina Gelo. Inayos ko yung suot ko. I'm wearing a pink CK t shirt, black shorts, black Vans shoes and pink round sunglasses. 

Una kaming nagpunta sa theater to watch a movie. We let Ellie choose the movie at pinili niya yung The Hollow One. Syempre, pagpasok namin, nakagapos na yung kamay kay Ricci. Eh hindi nga ako natakot, well maybe for some jump scares. In the end, gininaw lang ako kasi naka shorts lang. Eh, hindi naman ako na-inform na mag s-sine pala kami. 

After that, we decided na kumain. I suggested for Krispy Kreme pero ang dalawa (more likely Ellie) insisted na mag Starbucks. The rest of them said na mag Starbucks pero I'm not in the mood for it kaya I didn't agree. 

"Sige, mag Starbucks kayo okay lang naman ako mag-isang pupunta sa Krispy Kreme." I smiled at them.

"Are you sure?" Paniguradong tanong ni kuya Prince, at tumango lamang ako.  

"Hindi, sasamahan na kita. Kuya Rash, will you take Ellie with you guys?" I froze in shock. Tiningnan ko si kuya Rasheed tapos he just nodded. Ricci said something to Ellie and she smiled. Wow. 

Hindi ko na siya inantay at naglakad na papunta doon. Narinig ko yung mga yapak niya and hindi na ako nagulat when he's already beside me. Hindi man lang siya napagod sa paghahabol. Basketball player nga talaga. 

"Czarina, nagmamadali ka ba? Or are you just annoyed to be with me?" 

"Both." Patuloy lamang ako sa paglalakad. The both of us went silent hanggang nakarating kami sa Krispy Kreme. Pumila ako sa counter while Ricci stood behind me. I picked out two glazed doughnuts tapos isang medium Iced Hazelnut Coffee. 

Umupo ako sa isang lamesa pagkatapos kunin yung order ko. Sumunod naman si Ricci and sat in front of me. I ate slowly and drank my coffee nung nagsalita siya. 

"Ina, can we talk? About our friendship? Kasi feel ko you're slowly drifting away ever since I came back. Tell me, are you jealous? Tell me the truth kasi ako ata yung nasasaktan sa mga ginagawa mo eh. Hindi ko na alam ano pa ang gagawin ko para mabalik yung dating Ina. The one I became the best of friends with." 

Natigil ako sa aking pagkain. Before I spoke, nilunok ko muna yon. Eh, yun naman talaga gagawin before ka magsasalita diba? LOL HAHAHA. Tiningnan ko siya and he looked serious. Really serious. This is the first time I examined his face since he left. I miss moments like this.

"You really want me to tell you how I feel?" Tumango lamang siya so I continued. 

"Sabi nila, feelings fade when people change pero I stayed the same. Hindi parin nawawala eh. All of the memories we made, I treasured everything bit of it. I'm not okay Cci, but it's okay. You have your girl now and I need to accept that. Pero I don't know if I'll be fine without you but I hope I will be. Remember when we ran away at midnight? Ngayon, I'm running away from the person I thought was the one. Pero debale, we'll stay as friends and I'll try my best na hindi maging salty. I'll try my best to forget what I'm feeling towards you and I'll focus with us being friends. Happy? Satisfied?" 

Tumawa ako ng mahina after saying all of those words. I didn't know na may lakas pa ako ng loob para masabi ang lahat ng 'yon. I waited patiently for him to reply. He's just staring at me na parang nag aantay lang din. 

"I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you. Ina, I was always thinking about you back there. Napaka tanga ko lang for leaving you. Hindi kita naisip, all I was thinking ay ang sakit na nadarama ko noon. Pati ngayon, knowing you're still together with Azrael." What? Hindi siya updated? Wow naman Ricci. 

"Wala na kami ni Azrael oy. Matagal na, what made you think na kami parin?" I'm happy na the mood is getting a little bit light. 

"I saw pictures of you and him. Kissing." I felt my face getting red so I drank my coffee. 

"No! You're not getting the right idea HAHAHA." I heard him laugh again. 

"Well, ano yon?" 

"Another story for another day." 

Dumaan ang ilang oras at nagtagpo narin kaming lahat papuntang Time Zone. Libre raw nila Ricci kasi sila rin naman ang nag-aya. I'm actually shocked na nagbago na yung mood ko, parang di na ako galit sa mundo. 

We reached Timezone tapos dumiretso sa hoops after nagbayad. By team kami ngayon, ako at si kuya Prince tapos si Ricci and Ellie. Nagreklamo pa nga si Ellie kasi hindi siya nakakashoot while ako raw, perfect. Eh, you can't blame me. HAHAHAHA, parati kasi kaming nanonood ng games nila Ricci at kuya Prince dati. 

Pinalagpas namin ang ilang oras sa paglalaro bago tumungo sa McDo. Then, bumalik na kami sa parking lot para makauwi na. Before ako nakapasok, hinila ako ni Ricci para daw makapag-usap kami saglit. 

"Pwede naman sa loob." I insisted but he said no. Edi okay. 

"Look, I had fun with you today. Para lang noon dati, did you too?" 

"Oo naman! Sino bang hindi mag e-enjoy eh kayo yung nag bayad." I laughed and he did too. "Pero, thank you ah. You didn't really have too." 

"It was nothing." He paused and his once smiley face is now gone again. "Pero I'm afraid, hindi na ito muling mauulit." 

Great. He's going to be spending a lot of time with Ellie dito sa Pinas. Ano naman kung ganoon, hindi na siya makakapag bond sa amin? Grabe naman yung hindi talaga mauulit. Nakinig nalang ako. Pero, I was wrong nung binitawan niya ang mga salitang 'yon. 

"I'm going back to Australia."
