Give Me Love

Chapter 2

Finally it was Saturday. The day of the dinner. I woke up around 11. It felt good to sleep in for once. The Wilkinson's weren't coming over until 6 so I decided to go for a run. I ran about 4 miles today and I felt pretty proud of myself. I got home and showered and laid around in my towel for a few hours. Finally at 4:30ish I started to get ready. I left my hair natural and wavy and put on a white tank top with some light wash jeans and my white vans. I tied a flannel around my waist just in case it got cold. And then I did my very simple and minimal makeup.

By the time I was done my mom was calling me and Bree downstairs to help set up. My mom had already made dinner and it smelled amazing. Burgers with fries and she also made fruit salad. We helped take everything out to the backyard and set up when we heard the doorbell.

"Grace could you get that. I'm a little busy" my mom said as she set the table

"On my way" I shouted. I opened the door and let everyone in and led them all to the backyard. I looked back a few times to notice Sam staring at me and looking away. I smiled to myself.

We all sat down and ate and got to know each other. I learned that Sam was also a going to be a Freshmen at the same college I was going to in Nebraska. His mom moved here with Sam and Brooke because of a new job. Their parents had been divorced for around 8 years now.

"Girls why don't you go show Sam and Brooke around the house" said my mom

Bree went with Brooke straight to her room. I walked Sam through all the floors and we finally got to the 3rd floor where my room and the guest room was at. My room had white walls with Christmas lights strung around the ceiling all year round. My room was a mess at the time. Clothes all over the floor. My computer sitting on my bed.

"Sorry about the mess in here" I said to sam

"Oh it's no big deal this is clean compared to my room" he said with a chuckle as he sat down on my bed

"Wow okay just make yourself comfy" I said sarcastically

"Oh sorry force of habit" Sam said. Seeming a bit embarrassed as he started getting up

"Oh no it's fine I was totally kidding" I said laughing as I sat down

Me and Sam sat on my bed together and talked for hours until my mom yelled up the stairs that Bree and Sam were leaving. We stood up and Sam gave me a hug

"Thanks for having me over and everything" he said scratching his neck.

"No big deal. Come over whenever" I said with a smile

"You know. I'm really lucky to have moved in next to such a beautiful girl" he said with a wink as he hopped down the stairs. I could feel myself blushing so I tried to hide my face. I had a feeling this was going to be a lot better summer than I had planned.

A/N- so here's the 2nd chapter and I know these first couple chapters are not that interesting but I have to start somewhere. I have many ideas for this so don't worry. It'll get interesting soon. I promise💋
