Chapter 1- The Girl From My Class

When I used to go to high school, there was this girl in my class, she was a quiet girl and didn't have any friends whatsoever.
She had long dark hair, almost black, but not quite, and it always covered her face, I don't know why though, she has nothing to hide, she was a pretty girl.
During our break time, my friends gave me a little dare, to befriend her. It seemed simple enough, so I set to work.
I first spoke to her in the lesson after that, I agreed to pair up with her in a project, it seemed like the best way to do this. So I swallowed my pride and asked her to pair with me.
She happily agreed.
"Why did you pick me?" She suddenly said a few minutes before the bell rung.
I shrugged, this was one of the first times I had actually heard her voice, it was soft, and sent an unpleasant shiver down my spine, "I don't know, you seem nice," I gave her a friendly smile.
I didn't speak to her for a few weeks after that, in fact, I completely forgot about her, until my friends brought her up again.
The day after that, I bought her some flowers and visited her house (I knew where she lived as her mum and my mum were co workers).
She opened the door, "what do you need?" She said darkly before tilting her head to the side slightly.
"I came to give you a gift!" I smiled and passed her the flowers.
She turned them away quickly, "I'm allergic to roses."
She started to close the door before I stopped her, "Can I come in, let's talk for a while, you look like you need it!" I tried to stay happy in this situation, but she got on my nerves.
"Whatever," she let me inside, her house was neat, and she seemed to be the only one home.
She showed me to her room where we sat and chatted for a while, her room made me feel pretty uneasy though...
She opened up to me a little more that day, she told me a few things I didn't know about her...
As she was leading me out, she was acting a little strangely, she suddenly blurted out, "it's all your fault..."
I spun around and said, "what is?" But she had already closed the door in my face.
I walked home in silence that day.
They next day my mum told me some news I would never forget.
"You know my co workers daughter?"
"Yes, I was with her last night, she was acting pretty weirdly, do you know if everything's okay?"
She showed me her phone, it contained and image of her, and some text I read the text aloud.
"Sarah Smith, has gone missing in the early hours of the morning, and police have failed to find traces of her, the only thing that was left in her room was a single rose."
I gulped, "But, this can't be true?!"
"It's the news, Sam, I don't know what to say."
"But her names not Sarah, it's Rebecca, was she hiding her identity, but why?"
