Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess. Her name was Cassandra and she had a beautiful smile, pretty clothes, and the best personality that you could ever ask for. She only had one flaw and that was that she had no hair. She didn’t see anything wrong with her but her two sisters, Mary and Nicole, thought she was ugly and made sure that she never felt beautiful. Well, one day Cassandra was picking beautiful flowers in her garden to make for her mother the Queen.

“You can NEVER be a princess. You don’t even have hair. My Golden locks will surely get me the princess crown,” said Nicole while Mary just laughed.

Cassandra had heard this so many times she knew it shouldn’t bother her but it still broke her heart every time they said mean and hurtful things. She stood up and she ran for the woods where she felt most comfortable and she found her favorite pond and she started to cry. “Why can’t I be beautiful like the other girls?” What she hadn’t noticed was an eagle had landed she loved eagles they always looked so majestic. “Why are you crying little girl?” The Eagle asked.

“I’m not beautiful. I won’t become the queen because my sister Mary has Beautiful blonde hair. I don’t have any hair so I can never become the queen.” Said Cassandra and she began to cry again.

“Please don’t cry princess. I think you are very beautiful. What you lack in hair you gain in something else. Take me for an example. I can’t fly but you know what I can be a best friend and always be there for anyone who is in need. May name is Charles what’s yours?” said the Eagle.

The princess hand never thought that she had something her sisters didn’t. Cassandra was so grateful that she had met Charles. “My name is Cassandra. Would you like to come back to my house and I can give you some food or something?”

“That would be lovely Cassandra.” They walked all the way back to the castle and they talked about everything. She showed Charles to her room,

“And this is where I spend most of my time so I don’t have to hear all the mean things people say about me,” Said Cassandra.

Charles noticed all the beautiful drawings of the mountains, “Did you draw all these,” he asked. “Yes I did,” she replied, “When I get lonely or sad I go to the woods and a draw. I just feel at peace when I am there.”

Charles looked at all the pictures thoughtfully then he said, “Well, I think I found your special ability. Because your brain doesn’t have to concentrate on growing long locks of hair you can focus more on what you are drawing. I hope you know these drawings are exceptionally beautiful but nothing can compare to the beauty of your personality.” Cassandra had a lot to think about. Nobody had ever seen her drawings. She didn’t know that they were that good but she also didn’t want anybody to make fun of her drawings like they did her.

“Mary! Nicole! Come here the king needs to speak with you!” yelled the servant of the king. “I guess you can come down to Cassandra.”

Charles rolled his eyes, “What ever awaits you with the king you shall know what your destiny is.” With that Charles walked out of the castle.

“Yes father? You called for me?” said Cassandra.

“ The Prince Conner is coming to join us for the evening he wants to marry one of my daughters,“ at the sound of the word prince Mary and Nicole went crazy,“ Do you think he likes blueberries or apples.“ “Well, if so he’ll love MY recipe for blueberry AND Apple pancakes. “

The king rolled his eyes and said “You will be on your best behavior and you will come down in your best clothes.” the king said. “Mary and Nicole, You may be excused.” Cassandra turned to walk away, “Cassandra I have something for you,” The king turned and gave her a beautifully wrapped present. When she opened it she found a crown with the most royal blue diamonds.
