Monday, November 14th 8:00am
Lauren woke out of her sleep with a splitting headache and a wacky stomach, she groaned in pain. She forced herself to fall back asleep, hoping that she would feel better when she woke next.
Camila stretched her limbs freely, which she found odd because she usually had a bundle of extra limbs wrapped around her. She looked to her right and smiled when she saw the porcelain skin glowing in the sunlight and the mess of hair that had over taken her face.
She decided to let the young girl sleep, so she headed downstairs, made herself some coffee and headed to her study.
She started grading papers and lost track of time, when she looked at the clock next it said 11:54am. It was unlike the younger girl to be sleep this late, so she decided to go check on her.
When she walked into the room the girl was curled in a ball still asleep.
She climbed into the bed and sat crisscrossed next to the girl's head, she gently combed her fingers through the sleeping girl's hair.
"Lo, wake up." She got no response so she tried again "Lo baby, it's twelve in the afternoon. Wake up."
The sleeping beauty groaned and clenched her stomach before moving her head into Camila's lap, so her face was mushed against the woman's hip.
"Baby what's wrong? Are you feeling okay?" The girl shook her head gently.
"Do you have a headache or stomach ache or something?" The hurting girl nodded.
"Which one?" The girl raised to fingers. "Both?" The sick one nodded again.
"Aww my poor baby." She massaged the girl's scalp for a few minutes in silence, hoping to relieve a little of her pain. "I'm gonna go get you some medicine and then I'll make you some chicken noodle soup. How's that sound?"
Lauren nodded again before removing herself from Camila's lap allowing her to get up.
Camila returned a minute later with the medicine and some water.
"Here babe, take these." There was no argument and Lauren blindly felt around for the glass and pills, so Camila gently took one of her hands and placed the pills in it. Once Lauren put them in her mouth Camila handed her the glass and when she was finished she placed it on the dresser.
"I might have to run to the store to get some ginger ale. It should take less than fifteen minutes, I'll be back princess." Camila placed a sweet kiss on her girl's forehead and ran to the store, while Lauren went back to sleep.
--
Lauren finished her soup and finally felt okay enough to get out of bed. She found Camila sitting on the couch watching tv, she made her way over and climbed into her lap.
"Aww, hey baby, Feeling any better?"
Lauren nodded then snuggled her face in the crook of Camila's neck, enjoying the warmth. A pain traveled through the girl's stomach causing her to whimper and ball her shirt in her fist.
Camila noticed the action and placed her hand under the girl's shirt and started gently drawing random patterns across the girl's fit abdomen.
The feeling sent butterflies through her stomach, which in turn soothed the aching. They stayed like this for an hour before Camila had to use the bathroom. When she came back she sat beside her girlfriend, the girl snuggled up to her and rested her head on her shoulder. Camila's phone buzzed minutes later with a text from Dinah.
