Hello there. I'm Gladious. You must be the one who wanted to hear my story. It's a very unique one too. Well, get comfy in the chair right there. This will take a little while.
I remember it as if it were yesterday. It was a bright and beautiful day. The sun shone on my shimmering purple and grey tail while the wind blew through my long dark magenta locks. I was outside with my mother. We were slithering around, playing catch with the football and softball. We were acting as if we couldn't give a care in the world. The kingdom of Naidel never really had this beautiful of weather often. Our fellow Nagas would usually be indoors, getting ready for the harsh winter. Our snake like tails cannot take the cold winds, unlike our humanoid torso. Almost all of us were outside, playing in the fields and enjoying ourselves. My mother, who is the queen, had told me it was time for lunch at about 24:16. We had then walked back to the castle with me in a curious mood.
Our loyal servant and friend, Cosmia, followed us while we went to the dining room. For once I was in the back of the mini train. I was always in the front or middle of our little line, that way they could watch where I go and stop me from going astray. As we were slithering, we passed by what mom calls the Portal Room. I'm not allowed to go there. I honestly don't know what's there and why I cannot go there. It's off limits for me. Forbidden. I was never told why. But this was the chance that I could go and explore. Right when Cosmia and my mom were looking away, I quickly snaked away to the forgotten room. I then opened the door and found 10 mirrors. Each one had two colors in a swirling pattern. They each had labels. They was Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Kentai. The one that caught my eye was Earth. The dark blue and teal colors were beautiful and matched each other perfectly. I just couldn't help but touch. Too bad that messed up my entire life. When I had touched the mirror, something catastrophic happened. The mirror started to spin and turn a light green color. I was scared yet excited at the same. However, the excitement disappeared moments afterward. I had been sucked into the mirror. I could hear the alarm blaring and the guards running to me while my mother screamed my name. Everything then turned pitch black.
I awoke in a dark place with a faint purple light. I sat up and attempted to look around. And as I did so, I had a sharp ache in my head. I was on the verge of tears, but I fought them back. I examined the environment around me. There were beakers, tubes and many other scientific tools. The thing that horrified me the most, however, was that I was caged in a small place. My claustrophobia started to get to me. I took a few deep breaths and peaked over to my left. I had seen a cyclops and what looked like a five foot fairy. They seemed sad and hopeless. I glided over there and watched them. "Why so sad?" I questioned. The cyclops looked over at me. The fairy, who seemed to be male, flew over to the bars separating us and gave me a sour face. He then said, "Do you not know where you are? And who even are you? Let alone, what are you?" I looked at the fairy and politely replied, "First question, no I do not know where I am. It's a long story. Second question, I am Gladious. The princess of the Nagas." All I got was a few laughs from the two creatures. "Princess?! Please! That is the funniest thing I have heard in years. Besides Nagas don't exist," the cyclops said. I scoffed at the comment. "And yet they say fairies don't exist," I replied. The fairy just rolled their eyes while the cyclops laughed. "Step into the light. We wanna see what you look like so that we know you truly are a Naga, let alone the princess," the fairy demanded. I had then stepped into the dim lighting of my small space and watched their dull expressions turn into shocked, scared ones. I knew that they had known who I am with how their faces are. "So you really are royalty, Gladious, huh?" asked the cyclops. I nodded and slithered back over to them. It was somewhat funny seeing their facing change so drastically in such a small amount of time. It was then when I realized, I'm not safe. The last time I looked at them, their faces looked almost full of anger. Wrath even. Anyway, I quickly backed away far enough to where they couldn't even see me. I had then sat down on the small table chair bed contraption and wrapped my tail with my arms. Not long after, I feel asleep.
