Goodbyes.

"Daddy!" A little girl named, Selena Gomez, gasped running to her father.

"Hey princess! How was your first day in the 3rd grade?" He asked picking his daughter up in his arms.

"It was so fun! And all my teachers were very nice."

"That's great sweetheart. But what do you say we go get some ice cream, you tell me more about your day, then we'll go home?"

"Ice cream!" Selena squeals. Her dad chuckles putting her down and making their way to the car.

Soon enough the father and daughter arrive at a local ice cream shop.

"Oooh can I get mint chocolate chip!?" She asked pulling at her dad's sleeve.

"Sure thing Sel."

Her father ordered the two ice cream cones of mint chocolate chip and make their way back to the car. Rolling down the windows to get rid of some heat.

"Mmm I love mint chocolate chip", Selena says, licking her ice cream cone.

Her dad chuckles ,"So tell me more about your first-"

"-GET OUT OF THE FUCKING CAR NOW!"

A man with a gun points at Selena's father. He sits there in shock which makes the man angry then forcing the little girl's father out of the car by grabbing him by his shirt and throwing him on the ground. Selena screams for help but soon is shut up by another man who's pressing a cloth on her mouth making her pass out.

"WHERE IS MY DAMN MONEY JOHN?!" The first man screams at Selena's father.

"I don't have your money dumb ass!"

That made the guy even more angry which caused John to get a hard blow to the face knocking him out.

The two men dragged the father and daughter into a van, then making their way to a warehouse.

2 hours later Selena wakes up to horrid yelling. She squints her eyes open, her vision blurry. When her eye sight clears up she wishes she would have stayed asleep because of barely lit room she is in. She goes to stand up but soon is brought back down due to the duck tape tied around her hands that is tied to a chair, along with her feet. Selena looks ahead of her and immediately starts to cry to see her father tied up also, getting beaten by the same man from earlier.

"DADDY!" She screams in terror.

The man turns around with a smirk planted on his face,"Oh look the princess is awake."

"Don't you-", John groans in pain,"-fucking touch her you prick!" He yells spitting out blood.

"And what are you gonna do about if I do touch her? Because last time I checked you were tied to a chair!" He laughs with an evil grin plastered upon his face.

"Just please don't hurt my daughter", John sobs.

"It's too bad I don't like to listen." He chuckles, turning around and punching her hard in the face, she shrieks in pain.

"YOU BASTARD!" John screams struggling to jump out of the tape but is stopped by another man holding him down.

"See none of this would have happened if you had my fucking money!" The man shouts. John drops his head down knowing he made a mistake. The man just chuckles at him. "I'll be back later." He says slamming the door behind him, leaving Selena and John in the room alone.

The only thing keeping the room alive is Selena's sobs of pain.

"Selena", her father says but she keeps crying. "Selena baby listen to me. You are a very beautiful, smart, and strong little girl. And right now I need you to be strong the most." He gulps,"I'm so sorry this happened. You deserve the world Selena, even if daddy can't be in it with you." Tears start to drizzle down his cheek. "I love you princess."

Selena sniffles,"I love you too daddy."

Just about 40 minutes passes before the same man from earlier barges through the door with a gun in his hand and a lady following behind him.

"Okay Johnny boy, tell you what. You just tell me where my money is and I'll set you and your daughter free, but if not I kill both of you", the man says calmly.

"Ashton there is no damn money. You know I don't get paid enough for that shit, so I suggest you find someone else to pay you."

"I'm not looking for anyone else because your sorry ass said you would get the job done without a doubt."

"Then just give me like two more weeks man, please."

"Hell no, you had over a month. I'm not waiting and I'm done talking." But before he could retaliate, Ashton puts another piece of tape on John's mouth and points his gun to his forehead. Selena lets out a gasp.

"STOP!" She screams. "Please don't kill my daddy, please!" She sobs, her voice cracking.

Without responding,

Ashton pulls the trigger.

John sits there dead with a bullet hole implanted inside his head, blood streaming down his face.

"NOOOOO!" Selena lets out an ear piercing scream. "DADDY NOOO!"

"Daddy's gone now princess. But it's okay, I'll be your new daddy", Ashton says. He reaches over to brush the hair out of her face but she jerks her head away.

"Don't touch me!" Selena yells.

"Ashton just leave her be. She needs time", the lady that walked in with him said.

"Sure I'll give you some time sweetheart", he grins but then raises his hand in the air smacking Selena right in the face. "But you better think twice before raising your voice at me", he shakes his head making his way out the door. "Jessica clean her up for me."

The lady nods making her way over to Selena. Selena starts to break down at the loss of her father.

"He's gone", she kept repeating.

Jessica tried everything to comfort her but it was no use.

"Sweetie listen, I'm going to try to get you out of here. I promise", Jessica whispered.

"How?" Selena sobbed. "And I just can't leave my dad here like that."

"I'll take care of it, okay? I'll make sure he's safe. But right now my main priority is you and getting you out of this hell hole. You don't deserve this one bit", she comforted.

"Are you gonna come with me?"

"No I can't leave this job. I could get in big trouble."

Selena nodded her head in agreement with everything.

After Jessica cleaned her up, she quickly took the duck tape off of Selena's body. Selena ran over to her father as soon as the tape was completely off. She gave him one last hug while crying and trembling into his chest.

"I'm going to miss you so much. You were my hero, my everything", she looked up into his pale cold face, leaning up to give him one last kiss on the cheek.

"I love you daddy."

Jessica came over to her, grabbing her hand and leading her through the quiet warehouse. She looked around to make sure no one was around even though Ashton left for business.

She opened the back door pushing Selena through.

"Go! Run! There is a nearby police station. Tell them all you know. But if you can't, ask someone okay?"

"Okay", Selena weakly said.

And without another word Selena turned around and ran through the dark streets of New Jersey, searching for help.

Author's Note: Well here it finally is! It took forever for me to figure everything out and what I wanted to do with this fan fiction. And I couldn't figure out which cover I wanted but I'm most likely sticking to this one lol. I hope you enjoyed this first chapter and hopefully you stay tuned for next Friday when I post the second chapter. I'm going to try and update every Friday but if not it will be every other Friday.
