She made it her goal to find out the real reason of Itachi's wrongdoings. So she walked to where Shisui had died, it was an instinct. He was one of her friends. She never said it to him, but she considered him that.
She didn't know why she was here, it was where he died, so she wouldn't exactly want to come here. But she did. And she had a feeling she'd find something.
So she sat on the grass cross legged, and stared into the waterfall's end. It was a quiet morning, still 7 am. She looked up at the sunrise and looked back down when the brightness was too much. In the light, she narrowed her eyes at a dark, square object in the water.
She looked closer and took it out, only to find a navy blue notebook. It wasn't wet and soggy, it was completely dry, compared to the water it was in. It made her wonder. Was it waterproof sealed? Her guess was correct as she opened the first page and found a messily drawn seal.
She flipped to the next page, where a name she never thought would be written there was;
Shisui Uchiha the great.
She stopped, resat herself, and prevented herself from chuckling at his antics.
She looked down on the same page to find a not in his very messy handwriting, and knew it would take her long before she could decipher this whole book-diary thing.

She was beyond shocked. The Uchiha planning a Coup D'état? That she didn't expect. She always thought they were one of the most loyal to Konoha, but she guessed appearance can differ through points.
She slammed the diary down on her desk table and rubbed her temple. This was far too much for her. Far too much. Maybe she could just act like she never found this out in the first place. But then again, she had to make sure if the Hokage knew about this, if he did, then maybe Itachi would have a chance at coming back. Maybe things could go back to normal. Maybe she could live a normal life again, not one full of adventure and dark times. This was barbaric!
So, she took one of her boldest acts yet and stood up abruptly, scurried down the stairs, passed her parents yet again, and ran out with only black socks on her feet.
She will get to the utmost bottom of this. She hadn't known Konoha was this messed up. It was a catastrophe in the least. She needed answers and she needed them now.
With a tuck of her hands in her onyx hoodie, she shunshined to the top of the Hokage tower's staircase, saving her from a lot of work. She might be a ninja but unnecessary effort is indeed unnecessary.

With three, sharp knocks, and a bellowing voice from the other side, she stepped into the ventilated room and shivered a slight. It was so cold, she hated it. She liked the warmth of the burning fire. It was comforting. The cold always made her feel alone, scared, weak. She was none of those.
Shiru looked at the aging man, with a pipe dangling from the side of his mouth as a puff of thread-like smoke escaped his lips. She shivered at the eeriness. This was all too ominous for her not to continue this.
Her back was straightened in an opposing confident manner as she looked straight into the Hokage's eyes, her emotions unclear, and doubts invisible. This was the leader of the village and indignity was not what she proved to show in her overall appearance. It was rude, and it would cost her to be on his bad side.
"Hokage-sama," she bowed halfway, hurriedly, wanting quick answers. He stared at her for a moment, shaking out of his thoughtful stupor and was brought to her attention.
"Yes, Shiru?" He wondered out to her as he stacked his pile of papers. He looked mildly glad she'd stopped him from continuing his paper work, she noticed with a slight crook of her eyebrow.
"Permission to speak freely?" She demanded out to him in slight disrespect show in her cracked voice. The Hokage frowned a bit.
"Granted."
"It's about Itachi Uchiha, sir," he was about to cut her off with a slight gruff but she gave him the stare that made him shut his mouth.
"I found out everything. Everything about the massacre, the reason, what the Uchiha were planning. I just have one question-" The Hokage was about to dismiss her wrong quite hurriedly in worry and nervousness but she firmly stood her ground and repeated-
"I have one damn question so will you please let me state it?" She was not replied at and she took it as a yes.
"Is it true?" Her voice was sad and dismayed. It sounded soft but angry. Hopeful but...not.
The Hokage didn't know what to say. He was left speechless and Shiru was beginning to panic a slight. Was it true? She slightly feared that so. Her body was rigid and her hands were trembling in her pockets, despite the provided warmth in them. She should be happy! For Kami's sake! She should be happy Itachi has a chance to come back!
Then...Then why is she scared? She shouldn't be. She strong, she's not weak. She is smart, she is confident, she isn't scared of a petty little thing then why oh why is she trembling-
"Restrain her." The voice was undoubtedly cold and sent shivers down her spine.
With that she was left screaming and thrashing around as she was held captive by unknown forces, being pulled away.
The only evidence of the event be it the tears on the cold hard, concrete ground.
She thought, she shouldn't have made that undoubtedly bold decision.
