I sat up in bed and looked over, I gasped at what I saw it was my precious love she was pale and not moving.

I realized she was dead after staring at her for a while, sobbing I slid my arms underneath her and lifted her. I carried her outside.

I suddenly felt a hot searing pain on my back I soon realized what was happening my wings were growing back. I screamed in pain dropping to my knees I gently laid my love down. I felt a warm liquid running down my back blood I thought. I looked toward the sky and screamed.

"WHY ME"

I cannot take on this role anymore of deliverance. Especially not of my love it will kill me.

They wanted me to die, I've lived too I thought.

I stand up and walk over to my love I bend over and pick her up. Her body was lifeless she was still warm but barely. I slowly extend my wings, still tender I muttered. I looked around and made sure no one was watching. I jumped as high as I could my wings started moving on their own.

As I got higher something felt off I started looking around and spotted something in the clouds but it soon disappeared. I continued flying up not wanting see what it was. The gate was becoming visible I turned my head and saw it, it saw me.

I look at my love as I feel a hot searing pain through my heart everything is standstill as I realized what happened. All our memories together coming in flashes; we are falling fast but it feels so slow. I realized I let go of my love I slowly make my descent towards her. I softly grab her hand, pull her towards me and kiss her cheek.

We hit the ground I look over at her, her eyes opened.
