"Hi Jen, it's me Lisa. If you're listening, please pick up my calls. I need to talk to you."
Lisa sighed as she buried her face in her palms, sitting on the floor and hugging her knees close to her chest. For the first time in a while, she cried. Her body was trembling violently against the cold wall and wooden floor. The sound of her cries echoed through the silent apartment, seemingly calling out for help. Lisa tossed her phone on the bed and closed her eyes as she tried to stop thinking about the woman who shattered her heart into a million pieces.
An extremely gorgeous and intelligent woman called Jennie Kim, she was a year older than Lisa and had the most beautiful face you'd ever see. Her silky chestnut hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall and her eyes were pools of deep chocolate. She was beauty to behold; painted in hues of gold and strokes of perfection. Lisa fell for her the moment she laid eyes on the mortal goddess.
They met at a local coffee shop and got along instantly, it was an immediate attraction. After a few weeks, they started dating and things were more than beautiful for over a year. After their first anniversary, Jennie started being distant and secretive. The Thai tried to shrug it off, thinking that it was nothing and didn't want to be too invasive of her lover's privacy. But as the time goes, Jennie started going home late and had the smell of another woman's perfume or lipstick stains on her. Lisa acted as if she hadn't noticed because she was afraid that if she brought it up, it would all be real.
It was October 8th 2019, Lisa couldn't take it anymore and confronted Jennie of having an affair with another woman. The cat-eyed girl denied it over and over again, but what was the point of lying? They had nothing to hold on to anymore, it was already an unhealthy relationship.
On that stormy night, Jennie walked out on their relationship.
