Sleep

Late at night, a couple is watching a movie. The girl is curled up in the boy's lap. She's tired already, so she lays her head on his chest. Her eyes slowly start to drift close as she listens to his heartbeat. She falls asleep.

The boy is also tired, and leans his head back against the couch, eyes closing. His arms wrap around the girl protectively. He lightly kisses the top of her head. He takes one of her hands in his, running his thumb over it. He falls asleep.

Morning comes and the girl's face is now pressed into the boy's chest, arms wrapped around his middle. The boy's arms are weaved around her, cradling her. He's still asleep. So is she.

He's dreaming of her, and she's dreaming of him.
