This Can't Be Happening (A Diversity Fanfiction)

Chapter 1

Hi my name is Heather I am eighteen years old. I have twin sister named Nicola, she is so beautiful and I love her to pieces! We are both dancers and together we form a duo called In Parallel which won a major competition and we are now professional dancers, who teach workshops all over the world. It's just the two of us we are super close, our parents are in America. We moved to England together so we can get more dance opportunities. We have danced together all our lives, we do so many different styles, but we are famous for our street, Hiphop and freestyle. Our parents have always taught us to believe in ourselves and we can accomplish anything! My idols are eight boys better known as Diversity, Britain's Got Talent winners 2009. I have blonde hair and sapphire blue eyes, Nicola is actually the opposite with dyed brown hair and bright green eyes. In Parallel have been asked to attend The Dance Sensation festival 2014, we agreed, obviously! I am super excited our routine looks amazing if I may say so myself and I heard hundreds of other famous dance acts are going to be there!

Heather's POV

A Pillow came flying across the room and hit me in the head. "Ouch!" I grumble now awake. "Sorry Heather, but you wouldn't get up and we need to start getting ready or we're gonna be late for the festival!" My twin sister Nicola yells at me. I choose to ignore her and roll over, not realising how close I am to the edge of the bed... I fall out and end up sprawled out across the floor at her feet. She laughs. "Come on get up! Dress normally, I have our costumes" she tells me and walks out the room leaving me to get dressed.

I get up and run along the corridor to the bathroom to have a shower, I wash my hair and body then get changed into some casual clothes.

I go down the stairs and find Nicola on her phone scrolling through her twitter feed, I walk past her into the kitchen to make myself some breakfast. As I am pouring out some cereal into a bowl I hear a deafening scream coming from the living room so I sprint through to see what was going on and I see my sister staring at her phone like it had suddenly sprouted legs or something. "What, what is it sis' are you okay" I questioned. She handed me her phone and I see a tweet from Ashley Banjo saying that Diversity are attending the Dance Sensation festival today!

Oh my god this can't be happening!

"Diversity, as in thee Diversity are going to the same festival as us! I can't believe this!" I screamed

"Me either" she yelled "Come on we had better go now you all set?"

I nodded and followed her our the door and into the car.

*Skip car journey*

We had to go behind the building where Dance Sensation was being held and in through the performers entrance. I am so excited I grab on to Nicola's hand. "Here is your dressing room girls" said a man with event crew written on his jacket said "Somebody with come and fetch you when the festival starts. The timetable is just there one the wall." he gestured to the back wall. "Thank you," Nicola and I said in unison. The man smiled and left.

"This" I say

"Is amazing!" Nicola finishes. I walk over to the timetable dumping my backpack down. "We are performing on the main stage first, then we are taking a workshop and then we are meeting fans. After that we're free to do whatever." I read out. "Not whatever, we are looking for Diversity!" Nicola grins. We both scream and do some kind of celebration dance before falling to the floor in a fit of laughter.

"In Parallel?" We hear a voice asking from the door. We both look up to see a woman in a yellow event crew jacket standing with a clipboard. "Are you ready to go." she asked

"Almost we just need to get into our our costumes, two minutes?" I replied. She nodded and left closing the door behind her.

The woman comes back a couple of minutes later and escorts us to the stage, we walk behind her with our arms linked. We got taken into the wings, I decided to look out at the crowd without being seen. The first thing I notice is how many fans there are. All cheering, most crying, all looking made up and amazed. Then I fix my eyes on only Chris and Wes! I love these boys I voted for them until they won Got To Dance. I hold back a little scream and pull Nicola over to look too. She grins and squeezes my hand in excitement " I love being dancers together." she smiles.

"And now, please welcome the female double trouble twin sisters better known as In parallel!" The intercom announced. We bound on stage, Cris and Wes high fiving us and looking shocked they have seen us! I Instagram our arrival on stage, there are so many fans all screaming for us, Nicola and I made 'oh my days!' Faces and they screamed even more. I handed my phone to a nearby assistant and ran to my starting position.

** Skip Routine **

We hold our end poses for a bit and then hug each other, the fans screaming. Nicola is handed a microphone "Hello Dance Sensation!" We cheer, letting the crowd go wild "So we hope you enjoyed that little show" my sister says "And if you want to see more we are taking a workshop at 1:30 and meeting and greeting at 2:20" I say. "Thank you so much!" we shout before bouncing off stage, me collecting my phone on the way.

Then I see eight people that make my heart stop, It's Diversity! ...
