falling for taehyung (your best friend)

CHAPTER 1

Y/N POV

Hey Y/N!!!

taehyung startles me as he barges into my bedroom where I'm studying.

"Heyyyy taeeee"

Whatcha dooiinnn?

"Studying" I  say with a sigh.

Are you gonna come to our show tonight? I'm gonna be singing singullaarriityyyy!!!

I  smile. Tae has such a calming voice. I  listen to singularity every night but tae doesn't know that.

"of course. I wouldn't miss it for the world."

Tae smiles. My  heart melts. I quickly look away before I  start swooning.

''Jungkookie is gonna be singing euphoria." Tae says a fter a few minutes of silence.

I smile. Jungkook is one of my best friends. I  always go to kookie for help and advice. Jungkook is the only one who knows I like tae.

Well, when you finish studying, you wanna go get something to eat before my show?" Tae asks.

"Mmmm.... I'm not really that hungry. You go eat without me I'll get something later." You regret saying no as tae opens your door and leaves. *sigh*.  I  try to continue studying, but you can't stop thinking about tae. The pain in my heart is hurting to bad . I  really want tae to know how you feel, but I'm  afraid it will affect our friendship.

TAES POV

she is so beautiful. Everything about her is perfect. Y/N is the love of my life. I can't believe I'm so cowardly. I should just tell her how I feel. I open Y/N's bedroom door, feeling excited. Hey Y/N! She drops her pen and looks at me."heyyyy taaeee "she says, breathing heavily.
"Watcha doinggg???"I ask cheekily.
"Studying." Y/N replies with a sigh.
I ask her if shes gonna go to bangtans show tonight.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world."she says.
I smile at her. Y/N quickly looks away. I think I scared her...
"Do you wanna go out to eat when you finish studying?"

"Mmmm... I'm not that hungry. I'll get something later." Y/N replies.

My face droops in disappointment. I guess she doesn't like me. Usually she always accepts my invites. I sigh. "Ok!"I try to look cheerful but on the inside I feel heartbroken. I need to know how she really feels. I leave her room, closing the door behind me. When the door is closed, I just stand. Staring at the brown wood. Sadness fills my body, and my heart breaks into a million pieces. Maybe, she just doesn't like me. Or just wants to stay close friends. I just wish it could be more...

*Y/N'S POV*
Maybe I should tell taehyung how I feel... but, what if he doesn't like me? What if he wants to stay friends? Confusion fills my head, but I can't stop studying. My SAT's are in 3 days I can't let love stop me from getting a good mark.

I have a text. Its from jungkook.

/jungkook/ hey y/n! Hows taeeeeee😉😉

I reply to jungkook.
/y/n/ .... not very good. I'm afraid he doesn't like me the way I like him... 😞

/jungkook/ maybe talk to your brother. He knows tae well!

/Y/N/ is Jin busy?

Kim seokjin is your older brother. He is older than you by 12 years. He has always been like a father to you since you parents are always overseas on business trips. When jin joined BTS that's how you met tae.

/jungkook/ no, he's in his room. He says he misses you. Do you know where taehyung is?

/y/n/ taehyung came into my room about 10 minutes ago.... why?and I'll text jin-hyung later. I need to know tae is OK.

*jungkooks POV*
Y/N seemed so worried about taehyung. I know she likes him.  Sometimes I wish I could tell tae that y/n likes him. And that tae likes her. BUT I CAN'T! I'm also very worried about taehyung. He can't of just disappeared.... I have a feeling I know where he is... I'm gonna text y/n and tell her I need to go. Tae might feel uncomfortable if y/n goes to him.

Y/n hasn't texted back. That's ok.

I walk to yongsang park in Seoul. As I expected, taehyung is sitting down on a bench, looking at the lake.
" TAEHYUNG-AH." I call out.
Taehyung turns around and looks at me. He turns back around, in disappointment. Now is my time. I walk to the bench taehyung is sitting on. "Taehyung. Y/N has a crush on you. She has ever since you met." Taes face lit up.  "JINJA?!?!?!?" "Ne." I replied.
Tae had tears in his eyes. He was also smiling. Then his face dropped. He stood up and walked to the lake. When he was at the edge of the lake..... He jumped.
