Luna Mary had just given birth to a boy and died when Beta James had gone to announce to the pack about the birth of the child . The Beta, 35 at that time got both news and announced,
"After 10 years of marriage, Luna Mary gave birth to the boy....."
the whole pack cheered, and when they had sobered up, he continued
"...but she died during the process".
The whole pack mourned her death. As they mourned, a bright light shown beside the Beta and a woman, slim,fair skinned with strawberry blonde hair in a floral cold shoulder knee length gown with flip flop and looking twenty two stepped out from the light and demanded,
" where is the boy"
the whole pack went into attack mode wondering who this woman was. The woman unfazed with their reaction demanded,
" where the boy"
.
James replied,
"Who are you and what do you want".
The woman rolled her eyes muttering under her breath and pointedly ignored him and asked instead,
"where is the Alpha's son" again.
The Beta answered " You do know you are outnumbered, so start talking or you are dead meat".
"I don't have time for you mortals and I usually don't do this but here am I, so where is the boy", she asked.
The Alpha who had been listening silently grieving came out and replied instead of James,
" There will be no child unless we know who you are".
"Okay, I am Meadow...,the Moon goddess".
Everyone bowed down. She collected the child who was crying from the Alpha and he immediately stopped crying in her hands.
" Aww, his so cute",
she said. The Alpha being embarrassed replied,
"Thank you, he took after his Mother",he smiled sadly.
She looked at him with pity and said, " I am truly sorry for your lose ".
" Now let's get down to business shall we", she said.
Her eyes locked with his own dark brown eye and as if put under a trance started, " He has no mate".
The whole pack gasped.
The Alpha interrupted but was stopped by goddess who continued, " By that, I mean that their is no definite mate for him. He has been given the opportunity to decide for himself but at a great price. He will be temperamental, lack patience, pride would be his downfall and because of this issues, he wouldn't have the qualities of a good Alpha ".
" But let's look at the good side shall we?", she said and smiling and continued,
" He will be handsome, so strong that he will be able to destroy your whole pack alone...".
"Impossible, we are among the top strongest pack," interrupted the Beta unbelieving.
"You would see and attest by his growth. He will also be caring and be able to master all his flaws to use to his advantage which would make him a great leader."
Alpha Kane replied, " I am confused be your words goddess. You said that he will be a great leader at the same time a bad one, I am confused. ".
The goddess replied," Do not confused my words. He will have the attributes of both a good and a bad Alpha but it is his path to chose."
She continued, " I think I will be able to help him with his mate problem. He will be given till his twenty first birthday the choice for picking any girl of his choice the suit him unless he dies. If he chooses the right person for him, he will live but if not he dies. He will know the right person in his heart and anything that has to do with the person will feel right but he should be warned that not everything is as it appears to be." she said.
The Beta then asked,
"Would you be helping him as he goes on?".
"No,I'm sorry I just can't. I have done more than I am meant to do concerning him unless it would seem as if I favour him more than others which I do not so he's on his own but i will give him a gift, after all a child need a birth present. He will feel tingles when he comes in contact with anything that has to do with her." she replied.
She then kissed his forehead and handed him to his Father and said goodbye and faded away and the air smelt of a mixture of different flower after she left. Alpha Kane raised up the boy and gave him the name Drayton and everyone cheered.
