Safe Haven - Book Two - New Hope

Chapter 2.

"Where the hell are we??" I asked looking around at my surroundings, it was a pretty large area with a bed and some medical equipment.
"Its an old abandoned bunker, its the safest place we could bring you babe" John replied leading me over to the bed "Caitlin set up the basics of what we'll need, Clarice has gone to get her"
"Im scared Johnny..... its too early!" I cried.
"Its gonna be fine Hales, you can do this" he assured me pressing a kiss to my lips "Come on lets get you comfy".

"Come on Haley, i need you to push for me okay?? One big push and we're there i promise!" Caitlin said loudly over my screams.
"I cant!!" I cried, id been at it for hours now, the pain was unlike anything id ever experienced and i was so tired.
"Yes you can Haley!! Come on, one more push and we can meet our baby! You can do this" John said as he sat behind me and held my hands, i nodded in agreement letting them know i was ready.... i could do this!!
"Come on Hayley.... push now!!" Caitlin said loudly.
And i did! I pushed, screamed and cried as John and Caitlin gave me encouraging words of how well i was doing.

Then it was over, i heard a small cry in the room and then Caitlin was handing me my baby "you have a baby boy!" She said with tears in her eyes.
"You did it baby, I'm so proud of you!" John smiled down at me and our son, a tear running down his face.
"His so beautiful, his perfect" i cried stroking a finger over his tiny cheek.
"Hey buddy" i cooed at him before John leaned in to kiss me.
"I love you so much Hales"
"I love you too!"
"I'll go get him cleaned up for you and bring him right back" Caitlin said gently taking him from my arms.
"Thank you Caitlin" i smiled at her, she had been great throughout my pregnancy. Just as she reached the door i let out aloud cry as a pain run through me again!
"Caitlin! Somethings wrong!!" John called to her, i saw her open the door and hand the baby to Marcos before rushing back over.
"I feel like i need to push!" I cried as panic set in. Caitlin checked me over then her eyes went wide.
"theres another one!"
"What??!!" I screeched at the idea of having to do this all again.
"Twins?? Really?!" John asked looking horrified, if i wasn't in so much shock and pain id have found it funny!
"Oh god i cant do this again!" I cried shaking my head.
"This will be easier Hayley, you can do this. Baby number one was the hardest.... give me some good pushes and we'll be done"
Caitlin was right, after a few good pushes she announced we were done. But she stayed quiet for too long..... i didn't hear a baby cry....
"Caitlin.... whats wrong??" I whispered, i had to ask but i dreaded the answer!!
"She's not breathing.... im so sorry!"
"What??.... cant you do anything?!" John yelled.
"Its a girl?....." i cried sadly, Caitlin looked over at me nodding with tears running down her face.
"Let me hold her" i reached out for her and Caitlin placed her in my arms.
"I'll give you guys a minute and go check on your son".

I looked down at my baby girl, she looked perfect, a bit smaller than her brother "she looks like she's sleeping.... John shes perfect.... how can she be gone??"
"I don't know baby" he stroked her tiny head as he wiped tears from his eyes.
As i cried i felt electricity start to pulse through me, it wasn't as strong as normal after my outbursts during my labour but i could feel it buzzing through me.
"Oh my god.... Hayley look!" Johns voice got my attention and i opened my eyes to look at him, he was looking down at the baby in my arms.... as i looked down she was laying there quietly just looking up at me. Her little chest rising and falling with each breath!
"John get Caitlin! I want her to make sure shes okay" i said as i cried tears of happiness. Caitlin came rushing in with John, Marcos followed them in holding our son looking on in amazement. After what seemed like forever Caitlin told us the baby seemed fine, it was a miracle!

"How is this possible?" I asked looking down at my daughter as John sat beside me with our son.
"I think it was your powers.... im just glad shes okay"
"Me too" i nodded looking at her then over to our boy "i cant believe we have two babies..... boy are we gonna have our work cut out for us" i laughed.

"Heyyy!" I heard Clarice say from the doorway and turned to see her and Marcos waiting to come in.
"Hey guys, come on in" i smiled at our friends, they quietly made their way over to get a better look at the sleeping twins.
"Hey mama, you did good!" Clarice said leaning over to give me a hug, Marcos did the same after and pressed a kiss to my head.
"Their beautiful Haley, you did good"
"Hey! their half me too you know!" John pouted from beside me.
"You did good too brother!" Marcos laughed shaking Johns hand before they embraced in a manly hug.
"So do we have names for these little lovebugs?" Clarice asked smiling at them.
"Yeah we do....guys meet Harrison & Hope" i smiled as i looked down at my babies.
"Harry's gonna be a protective big brother i can already tell" John said happily and he wrapped his arms around me.

"You guys ready to go home?" Clarice asked once i had rested and got a few hours sleep.
"Omg yes" i smiled getting up carefully "this place is awful!"
"But it worked out okay, it was the safest place for you" John said smiling at me.
"I know. Come on lets take our babies home". We each picked up a baby as Clarice opened up a portal, we all stepped through back to comfort of our home.

A/N - OMG well here's the next part! Im sorry its bad! Lol I've had terrible writers block and birth scenes are not my best but we got there in the end!!
We'll get back into it in the next chapter now the babies are here! Yay xx💜
