The day out shopping with Zoe had been amazing so far. I found my mum the perfect birthday present with the help of my blue eyed best friend and we saw a viewer!

The viewer asked about Zoe and me being in a relationship and I quickly brushed it off. I loved Zoe, but I wasn't ready to tell her how I felt, so I just said we were best friends, but not romantically together.

Zoe didn't seem too offended by that, which was good.

After we finished our shop, we both hopped into a taxi and headed to the small village near where Zoe has lived all her life. I was looking foreward to it soooo much. Maybe a nice pub lunch, an ice cream, a stroll through the small woods near her house...

But that was all put on hold.

Zoe went out of the taxi and walked ahead of me, I paid for the taxi and went to follow her. The taxi driver kept trying to give me change and I didn't want change so I told him to just take the money and then I went out of the car and found her.

I found her falling to the floor.

My beautiful Zoe.

'Zoe!!!' I shouted, whilst sprinting to where she stood a few minutes ago, but now she was crumpled on the floor, like a puppet who had had it's strings cut off.

I knelt down and supported her head with my hand and I checked her breathing. She was breathing fine, thank god.

I picked her up in my arms, one arm under her shoulders and one arm under her knees. I found a bench and lay her down on it. It was the only place I could put her while I called an ambulance.

I was beginning to panic as I paced around the bench. It was good that nobody was around, they might be wondering what had just happened.

'Hello? Erm.. could I have an am-ambulance please? Thank you.' I say to the woman on the phone as I chew my lip, holding back tears. I wasn't really a cryer, but Zoe meant that much to me.

'Hi my name is Alfie.. my friend.. sh-she just fainted a-and I don't know w-why.' I say while my breath becomes more and more uneven. 'We are on Sandstone Lane, just opposite the woods. Thank you.. I'll keep an eye on her un-until you arrive.' I put the phone down and scoop Zoe back in my arms.

It was crazy how fast things could change.

I sit down on the bench, still holding onto Zoe and rest her head on my lap. She looked so peaceful and perfect. I couldn't help myself.

I brought my head down right next to Zoe's. I could feel her breath tickling my face as I leant in.

I placed the most delicate kiss I could muster up on her lips. I wished it would be like Sleeping Beauty, and I could see her eyelids fluttering open, her mouth form a smile.

I sat back up and waited patiently for the ambulance to come, praying that my sleeping beauty would be okay.
