Chapter 30

~Kayla~

"So Nick where have you been?" I ask as we drove back to my house after the funeral.

"Kayla?" A tear rolled down his cheek.

"What?"

"I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time but I just wanted to be sure myself," he said driving the car up the drive way of my house.

"These last couple of weeks I've been at a friends house, a very close friend and we are sort of together now," he said looking down at the steering wheel.

"Nicky got a girlfriend, I know you would get one sooner or later," I said hugging him.

"Not exactly." I pulled away.

"Kayla I don't have a girlfriend."

"I have a boyfriend," he said bursting into tears.

"Nick it's fine you don't need to be embarrassed about this," I told him.

"Well I've lied to you and everyone I love, but most of all I've lied to myself," he cried.

"It's fine Nick everyone will forgive you," I told him.

"But I've been this way all my life but I've choose to ignore it as if it was just another stupid thought, but now I can't hide it anymore and I'm terrified," he cried.

"I can't start to imagine how you feel right now, but please know that you've got me and whole bunch of other friends that can help guide you threw this," I tell him.

"I just don't want to be judged, Kayla I'm so scared."

"Nick if people judge you for being this way they're not worth your tears. This is you and if they don't like it, there got me to deal with," I tell grabbing his hand and squeezing it.

"Are you going to tell Sam?" He asked.

"Only if you want me to, but can I just say? Him and the rest of the boys wont judge you," I tell him.

"I know they won't," he looks down.

"Hey don't cry again, this is not your fault. You can't help the way you feel about a person, no matter the gender, age or size. Remember that."

"I guess so," he looks up at me.

"I just feel so stupid for not telling you," he continues.

"Nick you don't need to feel stupid about this," I tell him.

"This is who you are, you don't have to hide it anymore," I continue.

"I guess," he says as another tear escapes and rolls down his cheek.

"I'm not saying this is going to be easy but you will get through this as long as stay true to yourself you will get through this," I tell him.

"Now let's go inside," I say opening the door.

"Kayla," he said grabbing my hand.

"Yes," I replied.

"I couldn't have asked for a better best friend than you, you have simply been so good to me and for that I truly love you," he told me.

"I love you to Nick, and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you so I'm so grateful for your friendship." I say .

"Now get out of the car and give me a hug," I tell him.

We got out of the car and he walked around for me to give him a hug.

"Aye watch the rips, they're still a little sensitive," I say wincing.

"Oh yeah, sorry," he says.

"No, it's fine," I tell him.

"How is your leg going?" He asked as we walked arm in arm to the house.

"Oh it's getting better. I can run now as you can tell," I laugh.

"So your all good now?"

"Not completely, I'm still not supposed to run, I just did today," I tell him.

"Kayla you know you can't run until your leg fully recovers," he tells me.

"I know but I was excited to see the boys," I laugh.

"So are they all coming back here?" He asks.

"Yeah, they should be back anytime now," I smile.

"Okay I'm gonna have to talk them about this because I sort of consider them as my brothers, and it wouldn't be fare for them not to know," he tells me.

"Okay well as long as your happy, so am I," I tell him.

Knock, knock

"Speak of the devils, here they are now," I smile walking to the front door.

"Hey Kayla," they all said walking into the house. I kissed sam before closing the door and walking back into the living room.

"Hey Nick," they heard them say as walked back in to the room.

"Hey guys," I smiled a weak smile before looking at the ground.

"I have to tell you guys something," he looked about at the 6 boys sprawled across the living room.

"Nick we respect your decision to tell us," Connor says getting up to hug Nick.

"We would never judge you for this Nick I hope you know this," Sam adds getting up to join the hug.

"Group hug," Trevor says and we all join the hug.

"We love you Nick," I say kissing his fore head.

"I love you guys," he said and we pulled out of the hug.

After several minutes whet by in silence I felt think I need to break the ice and speak.

"Do do you guys want to go for a drive?" I ask looking out the window. It was pitch black outside but I know exactly were to go.

"Were are we going to go?" Jc asked.

"It's a surprise," I say with a wink. I run up stairs to get a jacket and my keys, then I told all the boys to get into my car.

Quick update sorry I had no idea what I was going to do with Nicks character. I hope you guys like the way the book is flowing at the moment:)
