27. The Bond (Fluff/smutish)

The Garrison rarely ever takes omegas in as cadets, in the past in only caused problems with all the other alphas on the base. The requirements were that you already had to have a mate, and that's something that Keith didn't have. Shiro, his brother is the only reason he got in. Keith didn't really want to be there but he thought it was a good idea to learn some things about space exploration. He knew he wasn't going to be there for a long period of time, his temper wouldn't allow it. He was a feisty omega, and of course, no one knows about his second gender. Well everyone but the commanders and the admiral. Keith honestly hated being an omega, for a week straight he has to leave the base and have his heat in a shack in the desert. He is honestly ready to give in and have an alpha take him but he wants to wait for the one.

Keith forgot about his heat today, which started this morning. His pheromones are driving people crazy, which he doesn't know about. Here he is being cornered by four alphas. He can feel the slick going down his thighs, he knows his pants are just soaked by now. He tried making it out of his class unnoticed but these alphas caught him and now here he is. A alpha walks by and decides to help Keith.

"Hey!" The alpha growls, feeling this new feeling take over his body.

"Screw off Lance, this is none of your business." One of the alphas growl and Lance just walks up to one of the alphas and punches him across the face leaving a bright red mark.

"Leave Keith alone! You'll only get kicked out of the Garrison." Lance spits back at them. The other alphas flinch, Lance is giving off a real alpha superiority right now.

Shiro here's the commotion down the hall, and rushes over with Adam and Matt by his side. They make it around the corner to see alphas attacking each other.

"Cadets!" Shiro growls and Adam, his mate, rushes over to Keith and helps him off the floor. He no longer has the strength to stand fell while the three alphas broke out into a fight.

"Sir!" Three alphas that were beating up Lance stand and salute.

"Lance what is going on?" Shiro helps Lance up and Matt scolds the three other alphas.

"I was only protecting my - um - Keith!" Lance goes red and suddenly the smell finally hits him. The scent is triggering his rut.

Shiro gives him a look of confusion and Lance wipes away blood from this side of his mouth. "They were cornering Keith and about to pounce on him, I had to do something." Shiro looks at Lance fondly. It's finally clicked in.

"Well, Lance go to the nurses office and go get checked out." Lance nods and Shiro turns to the others. "You three, follow me to the admirals office." The three alphas hang their heads after nodding and Lance just smirks while walking down the hall to the nurses office quickly.

"Look miss, can you hurry up and check me over my rut is about to start!" Lance whines as it begins to bother him. Even though Keith left the premises, Lance shifts on the bed. The nurses chuckles and nods.

Keith is set down on the couch by Adam who watches Keith squirm in his spot, he just really wants his clothes off but Adam is in the room. "Do you need anything?" Keith groans and pulls at his uniform. "An alpha would be perfect." Keith jokes but Adam takes it seriously. "Um-I'll be off now, make sure you take your birth control and see you in a week." Keith nods and Adam is out of there faster than ever. Keith rushes out of his uniform and takes off his soaked boxers. He groans in relief as the cold air touches his skin.

Adam makes it back to the Garrison and looks for Shiro.

"Keith is saying he needs an alpha." Adam whispers once he finally finds Shiro.

"Lance went into a rut, do you think-" Shiro says before Adam cuts him off.

"Do you think they're mates?" Adam asks in a shocked tone. "Should you bring him to Keith?" Shiro stands there in confusion.

"But that could be dangerous, an alpha in rut and an omega in heat is a bad combination that leads to pregnancy." Shiro states.

"Keith has always taken his suppressants and birth control on time." Adam states while they discuss whether they should bring Lance to Keith.

In the end, they decided to bring Lance to Keith. It would both end their miseries.

"Lance, it's me Shiro." Lance groans and puts his clothes on. "What do you want Shiro?" Lance growls at his superior.

"This is your choice, but do you want me to bring you to Keith?" Shiro asks and Lance stands there for a second before answering.

"Sure..." Lance goes redder than he already is.

Meanwhile, Adam is back at the shack and knows not to enter. "Keith, do you really need an alpha?" Adam asks and Keith groans out before answering. "God yes." Keith struggles to cover himself with a blanket. "Lance-Lance I need him." Keith cries out as he puts the sex toys away, he assumes they're going to bring him Lance.

"Shiro is on his way with Lance okay? I'm opening the door to bring in protection okay?" Keith groans and cries and Adam quickly walks in and sets the box of condoms on his bedside table and looks at Keith before feeling sad. Adam knew Keith for a long time, he's 18 and he suffered without an alpha for two and a half years. "He'll be here soon okay? I'll see you then." Adam walks out and Keith lays back down and touches himself again, trying to relieve the pain. He cries out at the thought of an alpha finally taking him.

Lance awkwardly sits in the passenger seat of the cruiser. "Listen Lance, I know you guys might become mates by the end of this week, but, know matter what happens, protect my brother Lance." Shiro says as the cruiser stops. Lance looks at him and nods. As soon as he opens the door, he smells Keith's pheromones and can't himself from growling. Adam looks at Shiro before driving off in his cruiser and Shiro is right behind him.

Lance walks up the door and opens it, to only see Keith suffering on the bed, Lance closes the door and locks it. Lance begins to strip and Keith cries out for him.

That night, Lance place the bond mark on Keith's nape. They became mates.
