Chapter 69

"Blair? Why haven't you answered your phone lately?" Ross asked me. It had been about a week since the incident, and I was still shaken up. Josh is still not awake. To top that Christmas is only a couple days from now.

"Ross, I'm sorry. Things happened and it's just too much for me. I just haven't felt like talking."

"I didn't mean it like that. Are you okay?" He asked.

"Not completely." I answered, I haft actually told him about what happened.

So when I did tell him, the entire story, he flipped out. Asking every question possible, mostly confirming that I was alright.

"Okay, I'll see I I can fly out there." He said, shocking me.

"Ross you don't need to fly out here, I'm fine." I stated. "It's too expensive anyways, it can't happen."

"Well I'm gonna make it happen." He said surely. "I have to go to New York for the time between Christmas and New Years anyways. I can drive to Ohio."

"Why are you going to New York?" I asked.

"Interviews and stuff, I'll come see you." He added quickly.

"Well if you're busy-"

"I'm not too busy for you." He said, making me slow down.

"Maybe we can figure it out." I concluded. "Ross New York to where I live is a long drive..."

"Then I'll fly."

"Alright...just don't be upset if it doesn't work out." I added.

"It will."

"Okay." I said, knowing that even if he wanted to come and see me, I know his schedule is busy and adding a trip to Ohio...it's too much, it just can't happen.

"Just hang in there okay, and I'm here for you." He paused, "you know that."

"I do." I responded. "Thank you." I added a few moments later.

"Just, answer your phone please."

"I'll try..." I said, after everything that has happened, I just want to be left alone for a bit.

"Okay, I have to go now." He said, I didn't feel like responding, so I waited for him to talk again. "Love you."

"Love you too." I said then continued to hold the phone to my ear until I heard the silence knowing he had hung up.

I thought for second, then grabbed the car keys.
