That damn sunlight that crept past my window blinds was burning my legs. The heat woke me up before my alarm rung. Yeah, yet another day of that old, boring school. Well, I'm used to all the picking shit since freshman year, guess people nowadays are annoying. But I am grateful that I have some friends that understand the true me and accept me. Speaking of friends...
"BIIITCHHHHH!!" Annie literally jumped onto me screaming, hurting my legs further, as if the heat wasn't bad enough.
"Dude! You weigh a tonne, go lose some weight and hit the gym with me. Oh and stop midnight snacking mate. I couldn't sleep with all the chips' packet rustling." I smirked at her.
Knowing her secret was out, she hid her face in her hands and said, "Just put on your goddamn T-shirt and shorts and head to the breakfast hall with me. And stop calling me a dude I'm a gal."
"Kay, kay, whatever..." I hummed, putting a pair of shorts over my boxers and pulled a Panic! At the Disco T-shirt from my drawer. While I was getting dressed, Annie was in the bathroom putting on her lipstick. You see, I don't get it, why do girls like to present themselves with red colored lips? Lucky they weren't blood red, or I will buy a bag of garlic and lots of crosses to protect myself.
As soon as we are done, we closed the goddamn door (thanks Brendon for the reminder ) and rushed downstairs to the dining hall. The early bird catches the worm right?
"I heard we're gonna have pancakes today." Annie said, slightly clapping her hands.
"Ugh, why? They don't taste bad but they smell like a wet towel hanging in our dorm closet." I groaned. I really hate those pancakes. They really stink like our closet.
"Is that even a type of smell to describe food? That's disgusting." Annie scrunches up her nose.
I shrugged my shoulders, clearly not wanting to let the discussion go further in that direction. Damn our wooden closet smells horrible with a towel that has absorbed all the swimming pool goodness after a swimming session.
We waited in line for our food, as if it was taking forever for our turn. The cafeteria guy placed two pieces of pancakes on my plate. I went to the self-service bar and poured some maple and chocolate syrup on my pancakes and added a few chocolate chips and Oreo crumbs.
Annie caught up with me holding her plate of pancakes and poured some strawberry syrup over her pancakes. Man, that girl loves red, it's all red toppings on hers. Strawberries, raspberries, red strawberry syrup...
"Stop staring at my pancakes, I know I'm a berry maniac." Annie said, as if she can read my thoughts. "And yours is so chocolatey." She stated.
"Well at least my food is covered in sugary brown, not sour red." I said, taking a carton of chocolate milk from the freezer next to the bar and handed Annie her all time favorite, strawberry milkshake. She punched my arm playfully and took the box of milkshake from me, grabbed her plate and walked towards the sitting area.
I took my tray of breakfast and placed it next to Annie's. I sat down and started munching on my food. The pancakes still stink like a wet closet, but hey the at least the chocolate masked most of the smell. I opened up my carton of chocolate milk, and a hand snatched it away from me and my poor carton landed on the ground, spilling the chocolate goodness all over the floor.
I don't need to look up to know who that was. That's what I meant by the picking shit.
