That Band Boy

Chapter 3

Monday morning, two days after my parents left, I was fully moved into Luke's house. It felt a little weird living with him because it felt like I was a 20-year old girl living with her boyfriend, but in reality, I was a 17 year old girl, living with a boy who I wanted to be my boyfriend so badly.

As for Marie, she left Sunday morning. Her and Ashton really hit it off, but since she was moving, they had to call it off. He said he'd visit her soon, but knowing Ashton, he'll probably find a new girl and forget about her.

Living at Luke's was super fun. His mom "loved me" (a direct quote from her) and she was like the mother that I had, but ran away, except she stayed.

The only bad thing about living with Luke is Luke. Don't get me wrong, living with your crush is awesome, but it's kinda awkward when you have to knock on the door to ask if you could borrow something instead of coming in the room. I just wished he felt the same way about me. After that kiss, he kinda seemed, I don't know, distant. He never really laughed, and whenever he asked to talked to me, he said he could never find the right way to tell me.

Sunday night, "Mom" (she told me to call her that) called me downstairs. "We need to talk," she said. We need to talk? What does that mean? Are they kicking me out? Do I need to start paying rent. "You aren't in trouble, sweetie!" She said, almost reading my mind.

"You have feelings for Luke, right?" she said, staring me in the eye. "Yeah.." I said looking around to make sure he wasn't around. "He's at the market. Anyways, he loves you. Notice how I said loves? He loves you. That's why he's so distant, he can't talk to you without stuttering a million times. And when he says he cant find the right words to say, he's trying to tell you he LIKES you! Of course, he wouldn't start it off by saying he loves you. He will never tell you, because he's too shy. You need to make the first move, if you really want him that badly."

I couldn't believe it. Luke loves me? "He will be home in 10 minutes. I suggest getting a little more dressed, then when he comes home, I'll give him the same talk, so that when he comes up to your room, you both admit your feelings, and it's all lovey dovey. And after this talk, I suggest you call me Liz." She said with a laugh, pushing me upstairs.

15 minutes later, I heard a knock at my door. "Come in," I said. Luke walked in, and said, "We need to talk." Ohmygosh, this is happening! I thought while nodding and patting the bed next to me.

Then he started talking. "Elle, I know I've been acting weird lately, but it's because of you. I like you. And when I try to talk you you, I get nervous because I thought you didn't feel the same way, and i didn't want to look like a fool. But ever since the party, I've liked you as more than friends. And I know you probably won't feel the same way, but-"

I smashed my lips onto his. It felt so good to feel his touch again. I smiled, and pulled away. "I like you too. As more than a friend." I said, grinning. "Good. Now will you be my girlfriend?" He asked. "Obviously!" I said, kissing him again.

I so had to text Marie.

E: Guess who's dating Luke Hemmings?

M: OHMYGOD, I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN! SO HAPPY FOR YOU GIRLY!

E: Thanks Marie. I miss you so much, and so does everyone else. But I do the most ;)

M: Same here! Well, I have to go! Time difference sucks! Its 12:30 am and I have to sleep. Love ya!

I didn't bother responding since she'd be asleep. I walked downstairs to see Liz. "I'm guessing it worked, because Luke came out of your room happier than a teenage girl on a shopping spree." She laughed. "Yes it did. Thank you so much Liz, I really didn't understand until now." I said, hugging her. "Anything for my favorite almost daughter!" She said.

I went upstairs and ran into Luke. "Movie night?" He said grinning. I ran to my room and put on my pajamas.

When I got to the movie room, I found Luke putting a DVD in. "What movie did you pick?" I asked, sitting on the couch. "Um... Pitch Perfect." He said, blushing. "Are you sure you're not a girl in a boys body?" I said, teasing him. He down next to me with his arm around my waist, and I put my head on his chest.

Halfway through the movie, I got tired, and started yawning. "Goodnight sleepy head," Luke said, kissing my forehead. After that, I knew that even though my parents and best friend left me, I would still have a really good life.

So that's chapter 3! Btw, 10 days until I go back to he- Oh sorry, school! Which means, updates will probably be once a week, but I'll work on the chapters a little each night so they will be longer.
