i fell for you,

yes i was kind and courteous to everything and everyone,
but for you i was willing to become something i had never been, never thought of,
risking all my sanity, all human in me
so last winter when i said i loved you i meant it,
but that expression on your face revealed your thoughts ,
you were not going to reciprocate my feelings ,
so i ran, ran until i couldn't find any trace of you,
never looking back to bear your words,
cause it would have tasted much bitter,

deep down i already knew we can't be something which they write about
but if you ever give us a second thought, with a change of your mind,
know that i have kept my windows open for you,
you can climb in anytime,
i will always welcome you with the same heart,
same eyes which dreamt of you every night,
with same smile which comes up on its own everytime my lips witness you
