Chapter 1

Billie's POV

She's back. It's 7pm and she's back. Why is she here so early? I know her schedule. She works from 3 to 9 every day. What will I do. I can't let her see me.
"Bi-billie? Wh-wher-ee are you, you li-little shit" my mother says as she opens the front door while I'm doing my best to hide the rest of the food. I can tell she is drunk which makes the situation 10 times worse.I hear her coming closer and I know I'm not gonna make it. I know what's coming, but if I start running now, my punishment will be much worse. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?" says as she comes into the kitchen, seeing me with the last bit of bread in my mouth. That's all. All I ate was a single slice of bread. But I should have expected that she would react like that. If only I knew that she would come back this early. "DO YOU THINK IM WORKING MY FUCKING ASS OFF JUST FOR YOU TO EAT. YOU FAT PIECE OF SHIT." She shouted at me as tears started to well up in my eyes. "It was just a slice of bread momma..." I whispered while looking down at the floor. " I haven't eaten anything since yesterday evening and I couldn't help it" Now tears started running from my eyes. She started coming closer to me and I backed off until I hit the wall behind me with my back. She raised her hand and slapped me with so much force, that blood was coming out off my left cheek. She then grabbed me from my hair and dragged me in my room. "CLEAN THAT UGLY FACE OF YOURS AND MAKE SURE NO ONE CAN SEE IT TOMORROW. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" She brought me close to her face and I nodded. She then threw me to my room and I did what she said. I tried at least. It is still visible, but at least not that much.
I can't believe that I'm going to school tomorrow. I won't be with momma all morning and that's good. I don't care about friends. I don't talk to anyone anyway. Only to my mom, and that's only when I know that if I don't talk I'll make things worse. But still. I will finally be away from my mother. Even for a few hours. And with that I fell asleep.

Demi's POV

I can't believe I finally get to teach. I'm so exited to see their little cute faces tomorrow. I finally done with moving here. Thankfully I had all summer to do it. I miss my family so much but we talk everyday and we promised we'll visit each other as much as possible.

It's 2:00am here and I'm still watching tv. DAMNIT NETFLIX. But I probably should go to sleep cause it a big day tomorrow. And with that, I wash my face, make sure that Batman,my dog,has enough food and water cause I'll probably forget to feed him in the morning and I finally go to sleep
