Morticia's POV

"Morticia! Morticia where are you?!" I hear Elijah shout. The easier thing would have been to ignore the pleading shouts coming from him but the sound of pure desperation had forced me to give a reply. "In here my dear." Was all I said and in an instant, he was stood in front of me staring down at my grimoires with a look of horror and worry. "Morticia, we have to meet with the others. The villagers are on the hunt for anyone who has shown signs of witchcraft. I fear they're coming for you and your sisters." This news wasn't new to me and I think Elijah realised that when I made no effort to pack. "Elijah, my dear sweet Elijah, how good of a friend you have been to me." I said with teary eyes as I stood to face him. "But I'm not leaving, I will not and cannot abandon my sisters. You must ensure you and your siblings escape undetected, no matter the cost. Live for me El, please, for me and my sisters." Tears started to form in his eyes and a look of admiration and love coated his face. "If that is what you wish my dear, just promise me one thing. If you or your sisters survive this, you come find us, no matter what." He said whilst pulling me into one last hug. "I promise El. Goodbye, my old friend." Pulling away from him, I gave him one last glance before turning back to my grimoires in hopes to find something to save at least my sisters from these trials.

Finding nothing I noticed that none of my sisters had returned from their trip to the market in the village. Becoming concerned, I grabbed my cape and headed to where I believed they went. As I approached the village, smoke could be seen above the tree line and the houses. As I got closer a pungent smell started to become stronger and more distinct. As I started to edge closer to the end of the forest, someone grabbed my wrist pulling me around to face them. To which I came face to face with a teary-eyed Rebekah Mikealson. "Don't do it, please I beg of you Tish, come with us. If you stay here your as good as dead." A look of sympathy crossed over my face. "Listen to me Beks and listen good. This what your feeling now, dont let go of it, remember it. Because these feelings, sadness, anger, fear even love are what make you human Beks. Don't give up on that, okay. If it is my time to die then I am ready, I accepted my fate as soon as these trials began. It's time to let me go old friend." At this Rebekah allowed the tears to fall freely and embraced me. "I'll miss you" she whispered. "As will I Beks. Here." I said taking off my necklace, "take this, keep a hold of it for me, I'll come and collect it from you after all of this has settled down." Rebekah took the necklace with a sorrowful look in her eyes. She knew that I would not make it this time but she understood that even though my passing will impact her greatly, I had a good life with the Mikaelsons.

"Now, listen to what Elijah tells you and get away from this town before they find out about you as well. Goodbye Rebekah Mikealson."

With one last smile, I turned away from my best friend allowing the tears to fall freely and carried on walking towards where it seemed the smoke was coming from. As I got closer, the sound of people screaming in agony became clear causing me to pick up my pace. Once I got to the centre of the village the scene before me sickened me to my core. All blood rushed from my face as I witnessed the flames start to creep their way up my sisters bodies causing screams of agony to escape their mouths. "NO! NO, PLEASE LET THEM GO! THEY'RE NOT THE WITCH!" I screamed, rushing forward only to be restrained by men from the village.

"They're not the witch! I am! Burn me not them. Let them go, they're innocent please, please!" This had gained the attention of those who called themselves the council of the village.

The head of the council turned to me, "Do not try to fool us, we all know that every single person in your wretched family are servants of the devil. Put her beside the others and make her watch as her sisters burn as payment for the plague they have brought down upon us and this town, then burn her to rid Gods Earth of this filth!"

I was dragged kicking and screaming to another stake opposite to where my sisters were already burning. My head was strapped onto the wood behind me to stop me from looking away from the scene before me. My arms and legs were bound to stop me from running to aid my sisters. Anger consumed me causing me to finally break and scream at those surrounding us and watching.

"I'll kill you! Each one of you will burn in hell! You will die a slow painful death, and only then will you experience a fraction of my pain!" My mouth was than gagged to stop me from going any further. I was totally helpless.

As tears were streaming from my eyes, the last thing I saw before the smoke clouded my vision was my youngest sister Annabelle mouthing the words It's okay, I love you.  Then everything turned black.
