Part 7 ~ the kiss

After waking up at 12.30 P.M. they talk a bit, but then Cole needs to go.

She walks him to the door.

"Thanks for letting me stay, Lils."

"No problem."

Then without thinking Cole leans in, their lips connect, Lili goes in, but then pulls away.

"I..I...I can't."

She wants to close the door, but Cole stops her with his foot.

"Why?"

"I don't want to toy, I've seen you, almost everyday you kiss an other girl," she says with her head to floor.

Cole cups her head, so she looks at him.

"Lili, I've kissed a lot of girls, but that kisses, they weren't real. We kissed a the party, and it may sounds crazy, but that felt real, even if it was for some stupid dare. I feel something with you, nothing is fake, you're sweet, you're honest and so much more. I only want you, not some stupid slut, trust me."

"But KJ, KJ will kill me."

"Then we keep it a secret."

Lili doesn't reply, no she does something much better.

She pulls his face closer and connects their lips, when she pulls away she says: "Is that a good answer?"

He nods and then goes home.

Lili runs upstairs and starts to squeal, she can't believe what just happened, she kissed him, he kissed her.

Cole does like, he does like her. Everything is so overwhelming.

She looks at her clock and sees that KJ will be back soon. She's a bad liar, not like not good, she just bad. How the hell is this going to work out?

Around noon the doorbell rings and Lili opens. KJ is standing in front of her and pushes her away, she almost falls.

"Serious, I wish you had stayed at that stupid camp forever, jerk."

He turns around and says: "Watch your mouth weirdo, otherwise you'll regret it."

"Are you threatening me, really, with what. Are you gonna punch me or are you going to tell the whole school that I read a book every single hour, you have nothing against me."

Now she made KJ mad, she really did. He clenches his jaw and is getting closer and closer to her, Lili is getting scared. Will he really hurt her?

He's getting closer and closer, but then the kitchen door opens.

"Welcome back, how was your camp?" his dad asks and takes him into the kitchen.

Lili lets out a sigh of relief, is KJ really dangerous or is he just trying to be. She doesn't know and maybe doesn't even want to.

She walks upstairs and sees she got a text. A text from Cole.

Hey appears on her screen.

Hello

How are you

She doesn't want to lie to Cole, but still she does, Good, how are you? She sends.

I would be better if I were with you

She bites her lip and sends back: Then I'll guess we need to meet up again quick.

I guess so too, I need to go, see you.

Bye

The short chat ends and Lili puts her phone away.

What are Cole and Lili, they like each other, but are they together? It's a question that haunts both of them, Cole would like to ask Lili, but he thinks it's to early and Lili, well Lili doesn't really know a lot about relationships.

It all went so quick, they both liked each other from the beginning, but they don't really know each other. They can't just meet at Lili her house, cause Lili is scared of KJ and Cole doesn't want to lose his friendship. But, why don't just go to Cole, to get to know each other. Well, that idea was just flipping into his mind.

The next day at school Lili received another text from Cole.

What are you doing after school?

Nothing, why?

Would you like to come to my house? to just talk, I want to get to know you better.

Sure

Meet me at the bridge.

She immediately puts her phone away when she sees Camila glancing. Not that you can blame Camila, she had a big smile, Camila saw that she had a secret, but she didn't tell her, they always tell each other everything, why was this not included?

After school Lili rushed out of the building to her bike, she biked away quick, until she was out of sight. After 15 minutes she came by the bridge, where Cole was staring at hois phone.

He's really concentrated and doesn't notice Lili. She puts her bike against the bridge and tips Cole his shoulders. He turns around and gently kisses her. Lili's whole harts warms up and she smiles.

"Lets go."

They jump on their bikes again and go to Cole his house.

On their way they talk a lot, it's like they just discussed their whole live with each other on one trip.

At Cole his house, Cole says: "Well, I wanted to talk, but we already did that on the bike, so what do you want to do."

"We still need to watch the last hunger games," she says.

They're on the couch and Lili startles. She snuggles up to Cole and looks into his eyes he looks into hers. Then the film is out of sight and they have attention for each other.

Their lips go closer and closer to each other and then they press against each other, first just soft, but then rougher. Lili her hands are going trough Cole his hair and they split for some air, but immediately kiss again. Then the bell goes on, Cole stands up and walks to the screen where he can see who it is.

And there for the door is a red haired boy.
