The Day

It all started when mom asked me what I wanted to do this weekend, since my boarding school allows me to go home on the weekends if I want to. And it was spring break for most kids, all we got was a Four-Day weekend.

While I was thinking of what I wanted to go do I heard her saying "Well maybe we could...oh, never mind."

"Mom, what were you going to say?" I asked.

"Well I thought that we could go to the fair since it's this weekend, but I really don't feel like going." my mom told me.

"Just because you don't want to go, doesn't mean that I don't want to! You could like just drop me off there if you really don't want to go." I said.

"Claire, that might be such a good idea, your only 13, would it even be safe?" she asked.

"Oh my gosh mom, my birthday is coming up, and it only lasts like 2 hours...it's not like I'm going to get kidnapped." I told her.

"Well...hmmm...I guess it will be alright, and don't joke about being kidnapped! It could happen, you never know." my mom said.

When I got home I asked my mom if I could invite any of my friends, she said "As long as their parents don't mind them being there alone for 2 hours." So I called up some of my friends, the first person I called was my best friend Terri. She said that she already had plans to out with her parents (they have a lot of money if ya know what I mean). Alright, so then I called my other friend (my best guy friend, who I've liked for the past four years) Brenden, and he said that he couldn't, only because he had plans with his NEW girlfriend (I got so irritated when I heard he had a girlfriend). We haven't ever dated, but he's known I've liked him. Obviously, he can't take a hint. Sometimes I think of him as a man "hoe" but either way I still like him...well maybe LOVE him, he's just so, so, perfect. Great, now I'm fangirling over him! (I seem to find myself do that a lot, oops). Anyways, I guess I'll be going by myself...sucks for me!

Our teachers gave us a short assignment to do when we got home from school, so I guess I should work on that...or I can just wait till the last minute like I always do. Until dinner I guess I'll get on my laptop and maybe play a few games or something like that. I was looking through some games, and i didn't really see any I liked, so I guess I'm just going to sit here. ugh. "Claire!! Dinner is ready!!" my mom yelled at me. "Okay!!" I yelled back. While I'm going downstairs I was humming my favorite song, Fireflies by Owl City (I almost slipped going downstairs, good job Claire).
