Teagan's POV

My phone starts to buzz in my pocket as every fangirl holds theirs in the palms of their hands.

"Don't check it." Shawn whispers to me as he steps toward the mic, my hand still in his.

"So guys, let me formally introduce you to this beautiful girl in my life. Her name is Teagan. She may look normal and average but she is unique in every way. I should've introduced you guys to her awhile back, but here we are now: standing up here. Take a good look, girls. She's not leaving. I read the hate. All the hate was rude and evil. So with that Teagan is not a threat in anyway, guys. I love her and I love all of you. So much." Shawn pauses his speech and looks me in the eyes. "She was pretty hurt by the comments. But some people say that we are like stars: sometimes we shine bright, sometimes we're dim, sometimes we appear to not even exist. The point is we're still alive and our hearts keep beating. Don't you ever forget you have a purpose. Every single one of you. Now if you don't mind, I want to sing a song for you guys. That ok?" The crowd roars in approval. Some of the girls had teary eyes. I know their pain. Shawn kisses my cheek and I walk off stage. Waving to the fans seemed unreal.

Shawn's song was beautiful. I listened from backstage. He sang for about 20 minutes until he announced that he'd be back in just a second. His familiar face dances into the room, scanning the crowd of security guards and backstage tech to look for me. I rise from my seat and smile warmly as I take his hand in mine. This time he pulls me in front of the mic.

"Just be real." Shawn whispers. His whispering is demanding, as always.

"Hi guys, I'm Teagan Jackson. I'm 15, I am going to drive a Toyota Prius, and I fangirl over celebrities like any other girl. I'm one of you. I used to get bullied. I got harassed to the point of near death less than 5 months ago, but here I am. I used to live in New York until my dad called and asked me to come live with him. Little did I know I would meet Shawn." I pat Shawn's shoulder with my free hand. "Girls, guys, people: you will meet your celebrity crush one day. Anything is possible." I walk away from the mic and bend down in front of a crying girl standing stage front. "What's your dream, love." I ask her and take her hand. "I want to meet Shawn and I want him to tell me everything will be ok. That I'll be ok." She cries a little more. I take both her hands in mine and nod. One of Shawn's security guards help her onto the stage and lead her into the back behind the curtain. I look up to see Shawn smiling and the fans doing the same. I had made someone happy. It felt great. Shawn says his series of "good night"s and "thank you for coming"s before placing an arm around my waist and leading me off the stage. Girls scream for an encore and some just stand there smiling.

"Now check your twitter." Shawn's words make me realize this whole experience was real.

My twitter was filled with lovely comments and sweet people. My eyes fill with an ocean of hot tears and I cling onto Shawn.

"I love you so much, Teagan. I do. So so much." He mumbles into my hair and shoulder.

"I love you too. So much." I reply. For once I mean it. This kid holds my heart while he holds me.

A/N

You like the chapter?? I figured Teagan could have some "balls" per-say and talk in a crowd for once without worrying of hate. If you guys comment and vote it'd mean the world to me. I read all your thoughtful comments :)
