Boots took a deep breath and pulled on his right shoe, heart beating fast. Today was his big day. He was going to ask out the spicy Latina woman of his dreams- Dora Laexplora. Pulling on his other purple boot, he stood up and straightened his small shoulders, taking another deep breath.

He was quivering with nervousness and anticipation. "Don't worry, man," Boots said out loud, patting himself on the back. "She likes you. You're not gonna get friend-zoned." Somehow this assurance didn't make him feel better. He had always struggled with doubting himself. This was probably why he failed dental school and ended up with a career as a girl's pet monkey. At least that girl was Dora, he thought. Beautiful, sexy, mysterious Dora. The mere thought of her visage, and her figure gave him a warm, fuzzy feeling. Which was saying something, considering that he was already covered in a layer of blue fur. Originally, his coat had been thick, and a deep brown. But as soon as he became Dora's pet, she took him to an animal groomer, who shaved his coat until it was much thinner, and dyed it a cotton-candy blue. Ever since then, she had maintained this appearance, and at this point, he could only vaguely recall a time when his coat was not blue.

His focus shifted back to the present. He decided it would be best not to think about his plan anymore right now, and to focus on getting ready for the day. Now those things which were his namesake, and the only article of clothing he wore had been put on his feet. All he had to do next was to wait. Each morning, he waited for his heavenly housemate to unlock his cage with her dainty, rich, cocoa-colored fingers. Unfortunately, after he was out of the cage, her dad, Mr.Laexplora would call him names and scold his daughter for keeping a monkey in the first place. "Why does she have to keep that MONO SUCIO en mi casa!!??""(dirty monkey in my house) He would say. In response to this, Dora would become very upset and run to her room, slamming the door.

Boots often reflected on his strange and taboo attraction to Dora. He figured that being a furry was maybe not so bad, and he thought of himself as some strange kind of reverse-furry, an animal pretending to be human with an attraction towards humans. The word senpai seemed to perfectly describe her relationship to him. She was bigger, stronger and above him in the hierarchy, and she was the object of his attention, and admiration. He sat in his cage, thinking about all this, and pondered such topics as whether the earth was actually flat, round, or banana-shaped as some of his less educated peers had proposed. The only relevant thing he could use to tackle this question was the Law of Arsimony(a corruption of Parsimony used by monkeys), which states that the hypothesis that requires the most use of alcahol and illicit drugs by a person before it makes sense to said person is the least likely to be true. As legend has it, this law in particular was formulated by a monkey who had secretly skimmed a few books lying around his owner's house on logic and science. He had then actually derived the law after noticing that the thoughts he had while drunk on stolen wine did not make a bit of sense to his sober mind the next day.
