Well then, remember that oneshot i promised I'd post soon but then completely forgot about?

Well I'm finally gonna finish it lmao

Here we go:
Highschool | May x Drew (PART THREE)
I was sitting out on the yard doing my homework. It was now the first day of the holidays and I wanted to get ahead on my studies.
"Hey, May!" I heard a familiar voice and turned around to see Drew. "What's up?" He took a seat on the grass next to me.
"The sky." I heard him groan. "What about you?"
"Eh, I just lost in an arm-wrestling competition against Ash the weakling and he won't let me live it down."
"Woah, you lost against Ash?! Aren't you supposed to be the arm-wrestling champion?!"
"Hey! Cut me some slack, I haven't arm-wrestled in ages!"
"Uh Huh... arm-wrestle me right now." I challenged.
"Wait, what?"
"You heard me."
"Hang on, no, I can't."
"Why, you scared?"
"I just can't. I'll wrestle you tomorrow. Anyway, I'm off to play b-ball with the gang, see ya around." He waved and began walking away.

I rolled my eyes. "He's totally scared that I'm gonna kick his butt." I mumbled before continuing on my school work.

"69 squared is... 4761..."
"Hey May."
"21 cubed is 9261..."
"May."
"1738 divided by 2 is 869..."
"MAY!"

My notebook was shoved out of my hand, causing me to scream. I looked up to see Ash. "What the hell Ash! I was busy!"
"Busy? It's 8pm! Have you been studying all day?!"
"Wait, it is?" I looked on my wrist-watch. "The last time I checked it was 3pm!"
"Oh my gosh, I have no idea how you could study for that long without realising, I would've quit on the first three seconds."
"Well, I actually like studying, unlike you."
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Anyway, the gang and I are gonna go over to the girls' and have dinner there. Wanna come?"
I pouted. "Will Brendan be there?"
"Probably, but don't worry, he'll probably be more obsessed with his girlfriend Brianna more than anything else."
"Yeah, probably. Who else is gonna be there?"
"Well, there's Misty- my girlfriend, Dawn- Paul's girlfriend, Leaf- Gary's girlfriend, Lyra- Silver's girlfriend, Moon- Gladion's girlfriend and of course Brianna- Brendan's girlfriend."
"What about Drew's?"
"Oof, don't talk about that. He and his girl just broke up around a month or two ago."
"Huh, really?"
"Yeah, he said it's better that he doesn't love anyone at this point in his life."
"I see."
"So, wanna head off?"
"Sure. Let me just put my stuff back at my dorm."
"Sure."

We went over to my dorm so I could put my things away. I turned off the lights and went back outside. "Okay, let's go."

After some walking, we arrived to where everyone was. When I saw, there were more than twenty people there.
"I thought you said there was only going to be a bit of people here?" I asked Ash. "Not the entire freaking campus."
"One, it's not the whole campus just a few people. Two, if I told you it was a party you wouldn't have come, wouldn't you?"
I pouted. "I don't party. I hate alcohol."
"Then just sit the corner and stay away from the drinks? Yeah?"
I groaned. "Okay... Fine."
"Great! Let's go!"

We started walking in when I saw a large group of people. My stomach started churning and I felt sick.
"Nope. Not doing it."
"C'mon, it's not like you have social anxiety-"
"I DO!"
"Well, it'll be fine! Look, there's Misty!" He started waving. "Misty! Oh, Misty!"
A ginger haired girl came walking over to us with a large smile. "Hello! I'm Misty!" She introduced herself to me. Misty was wearing a yellow crop top and blue shorts which was attached on her shirt by a red strap. She was really pretty.

"Nice to meet you." I smiled. "I'm May."
"May Maple?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"I know you! Drew always talks about you!" She exclaimed.
I felt my cheeks heat up. "Uh... does he?"
"Yeah! Hey, Dawn! Leaf! Look! It's May!"
Two more people came walking over. One was rather short and had dark blue hair, the other was tall and had long, brown hair.
"As in Drew's May?" The blue haired asked.
"Yup."
"Wow! Nice to meet you!" She smiled. "I'm Dawn, this is Leaf." She pointed at the brunette who simply nodded and showed the peace sign.
"Well then, Ash! Let's go dance!" Misty grabbed Ash's arm and dragged him over to the dance floor.
"Speaking of which... I'm gonna go find Paul and force him to dance too!" Dawn giggled and ran away.

Leaf sighed and silently walked towards Gary.

I sweatdropped. These girls couldn't be anymore different and yet they were all clearly best friends.

"Okay guys!" Brendan jumped up on a table holding a bottle of beer. Was he even old enough to drink? "IT'S TIME PARTAYYYYY!"
Everyone began cheering and sharing beer bottles around. When it got to me I refused and stepped into the corner. I watched as everyone slowly got drunk and sighed. How immature.

"Pst."
I yawned.
"Pst!"
"Huh?" I looked behind me to see Drew in a corner.
"You don't drink either?"
I walked over to him. "Nah, not that type of girl."
"Then, how about we ditch this party? I don't wanna be the babysitter for some drunk kids anyway."
"Yeah sure, why not-"
"Don't you mean... wynaut?" He winked.

I rolled my eyes. "Okay, Mr. Punny Guy, let's just go. I think I know a place."

I grabbed his arm and started pulling him behind me. I dragged him all the way to a special garden which was only allowed for the horticulture club, which I happened to be a part of.

There were fountains, plants, trees, flowers, bridges, lakes, anything you could think of.
"Woah... what is this place?" Drew said in awe.
"It's a project the horticulture club has been working on for some time now. Incredible, huh?"
"Yeah... it really is..."
"Come!" I pulled him to a picnic table. "Let's sit here."
"Wow, how long have you guys been working on this?"
"For quite a long time apparently, before I transferred here."
"Nice..."

He continued staring at the surroundings, I giggled at his childish behaviour.
"Hey May... we're friends, right?"
"Yeah, of course."
"Okay... that's good."
"Why, don't you think we're friends?"
"No... I just... oh Arceus, this is gonna seem so cliché."
"I don't care." I chuckled.

He came over and sat next to me. I looked at him.
"I..." His face turned red. "I want it to be something more."
"H-huh?"

Suddenly, he pulled me close to him and our lips touched. I wanted to pull away, yet I didn't. I just let myself sink into the moment. There was a feeling inside me that made me think that this would be our last good moment together.

Don't think about that, May. Just enjoy it.

When we pulled away he turned around in embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry... I should've asked for your permission... I'm not very good at this stuff..."
I laughed. "No need to be embarrassed." I smiled and he smiled back and nodded.

"Well, we should get going back to our dorms." He said. I nodded and we started walking.

When we arrived we kissed one more time.
"Meet me in that garden again tomorrow morning... okay?" He asked.
"Yeah sure... why?"
"Nothing... I just want to see you again."
"Haha, okay. See you." I waved and he waved back.

That night I was so excited to see him that I couldn't sleep.

When I woke in the morning I sprinted over to the garden, expecting Drew to meet me there.

But he wasn't.

I waited,

And waited.

But he never came.
