The sun shone its glow on the world beneath it. Clouds clear with no expectation of rain.Grass swaying to the rhythm of the birds chirping, to anyone this would have been considered a perfect day. With the exception of Kisumi, today once again the words he had exclaimed times and times left his mouth,
"Sir why not?"
Waving his arms around to emphasize his passion for the topic.
The enrichment leader sighed, "You need at least 4 other members. I'm not an expert at basketball but I know You have to have a full team to participate in tournaments."
Kisumi pursued once more, "If you only let me open the club, I guarantee a swarm of students would want to enter." Taken back by the response the enrichment leader shook Shigino's head. "Look how about next week while other clubs are recruiting you can too go around and enlist people. But the club will become official and I stress this, only when you have enrolled another 4 people in the team."
Kisumi knew he couldn't argue with this offer. Since joining middle school he wanted to start a basketball club. This was his best chance of obtaining his dream. "Thank you, I will start recruiting now BYE."
Leaving the enrichment leader in a panic, "I said next week!"
Proud of his accomplishment Shigino was in the hunt for poor students to be his victims. Spotting Haru and Makoto, Kisumi attacked Haru into a hug. "Haru, Makoto join my basketball club. It isn't official yet, but come on please!"
Haru in response smacked the arm on his shoulders away and fiercely said, "I only swim free."
"Oh yeah, but you could still try out basketball."
Seeing Haru getting irritated Makoto intervened, "Me and Haruka have only ever done swimming. So if there is a swimming club we may join that, sorry Kisumi. It's unusual for a first year to create a club but I hope you find members soon."
Kisumi nodded at the notion but kept his head low. "Who would want to join my basketball club?"
Although that fell on deaf ears as Kisumi didn't realize that Makoto and Haru already said their goodbyes and were far ahead, talking. "Makoto you don't need to talk for me and I told you to stop calling me Haruka."
"Same as ever Haru." Tilting his head to face Haru.
The following week, everywhere you went club members were hassling first years. Going from one place to another, you could sense the tension between club members.
"He's joining our club!"
" No, he isn't, he's joining mine."
The poor first year Aito gave up on politely saying that he wasn't going to join either and just stood there as the club members were pulling him side to side.
Stalls lined up at the outside of the buildings, held high posters and cheering members handing out leaflets for their clubs. While Kisumi had one sheet he held and shouting, "Join my team!". Although Kisumi was ecstatic as usual and ran around trying to acquire some people.
"Kiyoshi let's join this club and this club. " pointing to every club he could Akihito ran to the literature club."
"Kiyoshi, I would be perfect in this club. Literature is all about beautiful writing and I am as people would say outstanding. Why deprive this club of my essence?"
Kiyoshi simply glared at his friend "Shut up, you don't even know how to spell literature."
Akihito was accustomed to the coldness of Kiyoshi, ignoring it as it never happened. To which he continued pulling Kiyoshi by the arm to more and more clubs.
