“If you would like, children, you may stay here the night and we can devise a plan tomorrow.” The Baroness sighed as she said this.
Then Frazier spoke up before I had the chance,

“Alright, Thanks Baroness. And hey, don’t worry! It’ll all work out!”

“Not if the world ends” I mutter sarcastically in the background, and then firmly getting a punch to the shoulder from my friend.
Zander seems to start to smell the air,

“There is a faint smell of sulfur in here…” Frazier and I both chuckle.

“Well, that’s either the dragon statue, or one of us.”

“When Donhovan and the others activated the dragon statue there was an extremely strong smell of sulfur, and sense of dread… I can honestly say I have never been that freaked out in my life, and it’s not exactly a safe one…”  I explain

“Hehehe… yeah, you could practically see Darius crapping his pants!”

I look at her “Really…, when you almost got hit by that black thing all of the blood drained from your face and a wet spot started to appear on your crotch!”

As I said this Frazier’s face turned into a tomato and she started to cuss me out as she chased me around the room with her knife.

“I’MA KILL YOU DARIUS!!!”

“You have to catch me first shorty!!!”

“GAH!” Frazer then attempts to throw the knife at me, which Zander somehow appears in front of me and catches the blade between his fingers.

“Woah… How’d you do that Zander?” After I ask, frazier decides to speak up.

“yeah, it’s like you teleported! How’d you do it!? Tell me! Tell me!” She was so excited about it that she was all but jumping up and down like a little fan-girl.

Zander laughs “That is for another time you two, but you need some rest now. Here, I will show you both to your rooms.”

Afterwards we both follow him to our rooms after telling the Baroness good night. We get to Frazier’s room first, and when you walk in you are almost blinded by the vibrant colors of the furniture and decorations.

“Man… isn’t this a little too happy for a bedroom in a cemetery? It’s like the sun came in and threw up on everything.” I asked covering my eyes.

“heh, yes Darius, it is. But you get used to it after a while. The Baroness likes bright happy things.”

Frazier smirks at that just a little, “Then isn’t a cemetery the wrong place to live?”

“Stop asking questions you two. Frazier, this is your room. Darius come with me.” As he says the last part he waves his hand for me to follow.
As we walk down the corridors he is talking about the history of the cemetery.

“Look, Zander, I know you find all of this history stuff exciting, but I’m going to fall asleep before we even make it to the room.”

He sighs “Alright alright. Here we are.”
As he opens the door and we step in, the room looks like the total opposite from Frazier’s room. it’s nice and dark. The entire room has been washed in a beautiful navy blue and a tarnished silver. Everything looked so calm in there, also the room wasn’t half as big as Frazier’s. The bed looks really comfortable, and the drapes are already closed so I won’t have to bother with it.

“Wow. Much better than the other room…”

“Indeed. I hoped you would appreciate it.” As he walks out he turns back and adds, “Sleep well Mr. Hanson,” and then he closes the door and I’m left alone.

I get ready to go to sleep and lie down for the night. As I start to doze of I hear a sound outside the door to my room. It sounds like two people are talking across the hall. I get up and walk over to the wall next to my door and put my ear up against it to listen.

“I’m telling you, I will keep a close watch on them. They will not ruin your plans. Are you really concerned that a couple of kids, thieves no less, will be able to hinder you?”

Couple of kids? Is he talking about us? Who is this guy? sounds oddly familiar…

“Ha! No Zander. I am not worried. About one of them at least. My son, he is like me, very stubborn, persistent, and willing to do almost anything to see this through.”

Zander! I knew I recognized that voice. But who is the other guy? And his son… wonder if I know him.

“Alright sir, I will keep the kids under a close watch and give them false evidence to keep them off of your trail for a while.”

Ah come on Zander say this guys name. I wanna know who he is… Then maybe I can find his son, maybe ring his neck a little, get some info. Although, his son doesn’t seem to be working for his father… maybe ringing his neck isn’t the best course of action…

“Thank you Zander, but no need. I am quite capable of keeping on the down low. I will be fine. Just worry about yourself and don’t let them find out you are one of us.”

“Alright, I’ll walk you out.”

After Zander says this they leave the room and walk down the hall, opposite the front of the cemetery where Frazier and I came in. As their voices fade into the distance I walk back to bed and lay down. I should probably not say anything for now… Learning more first would be the best course of action right now. Get more evidence, then confront Zander about it. As I plan, I slowly drift off into a restless, dreamless sleep.

The next morning, I wake up fairly early and walk down to the front of the building where I find the Baroness and Zander making out.

I cover my eyes, “Aw come on you two! Get a room!”

They turn and look at me quickly and they have a startled look on their faces, then they start to laugh and they move away from each other. Zander is the first to speak up.

“We didn’t think either of you would be awake this early Darius.”

“Well don’t assume stuff like that!!!!! Gross geez. Ya know what… y’all can continue, i’m going back to my room. But… I’LL BE BACK!!!”

The Baroness calls back to me as I am Walking off, “Have fun!”

When I got back to my room I went to lay back down, but I noticed that there was letter on my desk, partially hidden under a couple of books. I got up to go look at it, but the name I saw on the envelope made me freeze on the spot.
