"so, did she like it?" she asked.
"i haven't showed her it yet." i answered.
"why is that?"
"it's not ready yet." i lied.
it was, actually kind of ready.
i just needed a guitar and a quiet place.
but i think there was something missing, i knew it.
"you're lying." she accused me. "she'll like it. maybe it's even as cute as you are."
my cheeks became rosy pink. she thinks i'm cute.
"but be careful. remember love betrays us all." and she left.
damn, what did that even mean?
her words captivated me, i refused to believe her.
but after all, the girl from the coffee shop was right.
