The two men ran away from Serenity and they made their way back to the place they called "home" it was a three story mansion of misery. There was moss and ivy that scaled along the walls, broken windows and there was the occasional scream that could be heard from within the walls. The mansion, was not apart of the physical realm that the humans were used to. No, it was apart of a different world, a different universe. It was something that neither of the men cared to understand. All they knew was that only certain people would gain access to enter the mansions premise. To everyone else, the area the mansion covered was just more woods. A denser woods that was harder to navigate through. People could get lost in this and never come back out that's where they had their fun. But, if you were unfortunate enough you could walk into the area and be in a different territory.  A big clearing that leads up a hill and to the mansion.  On the backside of that was a garden, it was tamed and bloomed with flowers and fruit trees. There was even a pond.

And that's where they reside. That's where they planned and worked.

"Boss, it seems as if the child we are after as some influence from another source." The masked man said looking up to his master.

"Excuse me? Another source? What are you implying?" the masked man's master voice traveled throughout the room in a deep boom. It traveled not by mouth, but by static.  The master, was a strange being that was not of this world. He was abnormally tall, with a blinding white face with no facial features. He wore a suit that was pressed neatly and without any wrinkles.

"What he means to say, is that when we went out to retrieve her, we felt the presence of.... Him." the hooded man said. He sat back in his seat crossing his arms across his chest.

"Impossible! There would be no reason for him to try and target the human. She is practically useless" The room started to rumble as the man slammed his fist down on the table.

"Sir, if I may ask." the masked man said folding his hands in his lap."Why do we want her if she is so useless?"

"Because I sense something interesting coming from her.  She has this energy around her that could be useful to us. She has a strong mind to." The static started to get stronger in the men's ears as the master started to get excited over his findings.

"Maybe then he feels it too." The masked man said as he looked over to his companion.

"I wish I could rule out the possibility of that being true. If one thing is certain it's that she is really just a human. She was not born a creature of the night or the day. She was not born angel nor demon. She is not monster but simply man. But there is something about her that separates her from the rest of the town.  And that being said, I need her here. I need to study her. I don't think I can wait much longer." The master said holding his hands on the desk and letting out a sigh.

"So when do you suppose we get her?"  The masked man asked tilting his head to the side.

"We have to wait until the Proxy has entered her soul fully.  Until then you both need to lay low and stop trying to prematurely kidnap her. I've warned you once I don't want to have to come get you both again.  Do you understand?" He asked and before they could answer he waved them off "You are dismissed"

And with that their meeting came to an end.
