- Third Person Point of View -
"Snow rabbits only have white fure when the days are shorter and there's less sun. So, why is he here? Wait, this rabbit was raised indoors, away from the light. That mean's one things.. it's being used for a replacement jutsu," the silver-haired girl mutters to herself, surveying the rabbit that her blonde teammate is cradling in his arms. Turning her head, she looks into a tree and spots him, aman with his mouth wrapped in white bandages and cow printed arm warmers.
Her onyx eyes watch as he places his hand on the handle of his sword and she narrows them, ready to fight. 'So this is why the Demon Brothers failed in their mission. It's the copy ninja from the Village Hidden in the Leaves, Kakashi of the Sharingan. Wait, no, it can't be. He has his daughter with him, this is bad. Kaito of the Shōrai no Denryoku. If she activates her kekkei genkai, I'm done for,' the man in the trees says to himself, studying the young girl.
"Look out!" her father yells, and in a flash, she grips onto Sakura's arm and pulls her down, saving her from getting beheaded by the large sword which sticks itself into the nearby tree, the man landing on it facing away from them. Kaito growls in anger when she realizes who the man is, glaring at the back of his body. "Zabuza," she spits, grabbing her twin swords from her back and standing onto her two feet.
'My two swords against his Kubikiribōchō isn't going to be enough, especially because that damn sword is able to regenerate and mine can't. What am I going to do?'
- Kaito's Point of View -
"Well, well, if it isn't Zabuza Momochi, rogue ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist," Kakashi quips, a hand on his waist as he walks closer to where Zabuza stands all glorified on his sword handle. I look at Naruto from behind me and see him charge. I place my hand out and stop him, making him look at me in anger.
"Naruto, no. Get back. Even if Kakashi and I were to go up against him together, we still stand a very short chance. I need you to go and protect Tazuna," I insisted. "But, why?" Naruto argues, staring at me. "He's not like those other ninja, Naruto. He's in a whole other league." Naruto contemplates what dad says before taking one step back.
"If he's our opponent, I'll need this," he states, lifting up his headband to reveal his scared eye and Sharingan. "Can I use it, dad?" I ask, waiting for his permission. He shakes his head and tells me only to use it for an emergency. I sigh but go along, not wanting to make him mad.
"Kakashi of the Sharingan eye. Did I get that right?" Zabuza mocks, his back still turned. I hear Sasuke gasp from behind me, but ignore it. "It's too bad, huh, but you'll have to hand over the old man."
I let out a growl of anger and my grip on the handles of my sword tighten, making my knuckles turn white. "Quick, Manji Formation," dad snaps, "protect the bridge builder and stay out of this fight. You too, Kaito," he adds before readying his stance.
"Well, it looks like I get to see the Sharingan in action. This is an honor," Zabuza admits, finally turning his body to us. "Uh? Everyone is saying 'Sharingan, Sharingan'. Will someone please tell me what Sharingan is?" Naruto questions, freaking out over the use of the unknown word.
"Sharingan, A rare power. It resides in the eyes. The user of this Visual Jutsu, or dojutsu, can instantly see and comprehend any type of genjutsu, ninjutsu, or taijutsu and reflect the attack back on the attacker. The Sharingan is a special, rare form of dojutsu. However, there's more to the Sharingan than that. A lot more," Sasuke explains, looking down at the ground.
"Not as rare as Kaito's dojutsu. She's the only shinobi left with her kekkei genkai. It's only passed down to the females of her clan, so her older brother doesn't have it," Zabuza teases, staring me in the eye. (AN: I know I said Kaoru has it, but i'm changing it)
