Where It All Began -Chapter1-

(Hello this is my first fanfic so it may be cringey so here we go!) (btw cover art is mine)

Chapter 1- where it all started

(Toby's POV)
I started my day listening to Slenderman. He talked about what us the proxies were doing on our mission. There's times I just wanna do my thing....like eat waffles or...play video games with Ben, but I have a job and it's kinda fun if you think about it, I get to pick on Masky

I was standing in a row left to right with Masky and Hoodie watching as Slender went through his books and talked to us, I looked over to my left to see Timothy, his white mask. His brown eyes focused on what slender was saying, it was like he didn't even know I was there or if he even cared anyway

I took the opportunity to mess with him, I grabbed his knife from his pocket and shoved it in my hoodie pocket, I smiled and then I felt a hand touch my right shoulder and I jumped
"You forgot I was here Rogers" Hoodie said

Masky grabs the front of my hoodie and tries to "threaten me". "What did you do Toby?" My eyes locked on his and I felt his hand pull harder on my hoodie until it started to rip

"Timothy what are you doing to Toby!?, are you both even listening?" Slender shouted

He let go of my hoodie but and responded
"Rogers did something I know he did!"

"What do you mean Tim?" I said giving him a smile
Hoodie got in the middle of us both and spoke

"Toby took Masky's knife from his pocket and it's in his hood pocket, I watched it happen"

"Enough!....thanks Brian for the honesty you may leave, I'd like to have a word with both of you"
Hoodie nods and leaves

Slender takes a seat in his chair in front of his desk
"Why can't the two of you get along?, your both doing the same thing and I thought that you'd be reasonable but..I was mistaken, for now on I want a daily report on how the two of you are doing"

"How do you expect ME! To "bond" with HIM?!?, he unpredictable and childish!" Masky yelled. I looked away but I felt him looking at me

"Toby how do you feel about this? And why do you act like this?" Slender asked

Masky sighed and apologized to Slender
"Sir...I'm sorry I know not to raise my voice at you-"
I felt like I needed to say a word in this but I had nothing in mind to say... i looked over at Masky
His brown eyes looking straight at me
I handed him his knife back and sighed

"Toby...what's on your mind?" Slender asked

"It's just that...I wanted to be a "somebody" and I felt like the only way to do that was to get Masky in trouble, I'm sorry for what I did and...I've got to go"

I walked out the door with my head down and I started to run to the back door but i was stopped by Sally
"H-Hey Sally! How's my favorite princess doing?"

I tried making myself happy with a fake smile

"I'm good. Do you wanna play with me? No one wants to play.." she gave me her begging eyes. Her bright green eyes won me over

"Of course! But we should play in the....forest!"
I picked her up and ran out the door I looked behind me to see Masky running towards me. I ran out the back door heading into the woods

I ran with Sally in my arms. I ran for a good mile or two into the forest until I seen water up ahead

"Toby why are we running?" The innocent girl in my arms asked

"we are playing hide and seek with masky!" I lied, I felt terrible that I dragged her into this but maybe if he tries to find me he won't be as mad to see Sally. Would he?

I finally stopped running I put Sally down and sat down by the water, I started to cup my hands and put them into the water to get a drink

"Ewww toby that's gross!" She told me

"I-it's not that bad Sally it won't kill me"

Sally sat down by a oak tree. She played with her two dolls that she had in her hands
I walked over and sat beside her. Resting my back on the tree "which one do you want?" She asked as she held up and a Barbie and ken doll

"Doesn't matter to me" I shrugged letting her choose who she wanted me to be "you'll be Barbie and I'll be Ken!" She laughed. I loved seeing that joy in her eyes so I took the doll and we started to play

(Masky's POV)

I was running. Trying to find the idiot who took slender's daughter. I knew he wanted to try to get me fired "he's a piece of shit" I said under my breath as I heard footsteps behind me

"Tim I'm coming with you"
I didn't have to look behind me to know that it was Brian. He knows how I get when I'm pissed off

"You don't have to you know, I'm not even going to look at him. I'm going for Sally" he grabbed my arm and I stopped 
"no the two of you need to talk this out" he walked beside me.

"Do you think slender is upset with me? For what I did to him?" I asked Hoodie would tell me the truth no matter what

He hesitated "I-I'm not sure he told me to go after you as he knew you'd go after Toby. I couldn't tell by his voice"

I felt a chill go down my spine. Something told me that when I get back to the mansion I'll be in trouble

Hopefully everyone doesn't mind this being a long fanfic. The best in my opinion are normally the longer ones but I don't read fanfics that often so yeah... I still can't believe I made one chapter in one day😅
