Masamune made his report an hour later. The situation is now fully under control and no words had spread out to the 4th floor, where the feast is being held at. Though with utter chaos, the Oda forces was able to handle the situation smoothly and silently. The supreme control among the main daimyos and their soldiers' flawless teamwork showcased how perfect and how strong their bonds are, the bonds that were created through many bloody battlefields.
Nobunaga gave the order for his soldiers and maid to get their wounds treated with utter cares. He shrugged off a doctor that came to check on him just so his people have 1 more doctor to treat them.
"Tell them I've fallen asleep." Nobunaga gives his final order before Mitsunari leaves to the 4th floor.
Mitsunari and the other generals retreat out the tenshu after bowing respectfully at their lord.
As soon as the generals left the tenshu, Y/N feels an intense gaze on her.
Her eyes are then locked with a pair of eyes that gives off a powerful aura.
"Why did you save me?" She questions the man in front of her, to which he remains in silence, but he never took his eyes off of her.
With determination, she walks up to the man and sit in front of him.
"This time, you're not going to be able to shove me away." She stares strongly back at him. "You didn't hesitate in killing me and yet you saved me with your bare hand? Why?"
After a moment of silence, Nobunaga leans back in his seat, relaxing himself.
"As you can see, you're not the only one that I ordered to save." His tone comes out indifferently, different from the him that came to her rescue an hour ago.
"But you came to me persona--"
"You happened to be in my view." He cuts her off with his crude reply.
"You look... worried." She snaps back to which he remains silent, images of him flashes back in her mind. "Concerned..."
Y/N stares into his emotionless eyes in genuine.
"Or am I talking nonsense again? Being an annoyance?" Her eyes held that strong resolve. "Tell me, Nobunaga."
She searches for what could possibly be emotions in his clear orbs, but she sees nothing in them. Like a pair of gemstones with no hint of emotions, feelings.
"Why do you kill. Why do you protect. Your conviction. Your belief. Your thoughts." Words make it way out of her lips naturally. "I want to understand you. So, tell me."
She never backs down from his intense gaze. The gaze that seem like it will pierce right through her if she does not put up a strong defense. She does not know why she wants to know more about him, she just does what her mind tells her to.
His action of saving her had seeped into the depth of her heart. She knows her eyes did not deceive her. He was worried, he was concerned. Strange emotions brimming inside of her. Why is it that a ruthless man like him is making she feels so troubling?
"You're annoying as always." Nobunaga mutters under his breath.
"You're not pushing me away this time, Nobu--"
His hand grabs onto her small wrist swiftly, he pushes the woman down with him onto the floor. Pinning her slender left hand down onto the floor, their faces only few inches away.
"--naga." Y/N stutters, shocked.
His hot breath kisses her face. That light scent of sa-ke within his hot breath, is strangely sweet to her nose.
