"TEACHER". The word is in itself a complete sentence, speaking about a teacher is like binding all childhood –adolescence and old age together and putting my heart on this paper. The role played by a teacher is more important than a mother because since the age of four a child spends maximum time with teachers. All types of teachers play an important role in his/her life and mentality building. Just anyone cannot come up and become a teacher. It requires great skilled training and hard work to become a teacher to teach someone what is right? And what is wrong? Nowadays, several institutes are working towards the training of Montessori and Nursery teachers.
"Teach the children, so it will not be necessary to teach the Adults."
All that we learn as a child is deeply embedded in our subconscious minds and remains there for the rest of our life. Be it Right or wrong, the concepts are deeply followed throughout our life. Whatever we are taught in childhood, to pray, to play, to respect, to honor, or to speak remains as an indispensable part of our personality throughout our life. A good training at a reputed institute makeovers the whole person and converts him/her into a teacher. A teacher is a person who inspires and encourages us to strive for greatness, live to our fullest potential and see the best in ourselves. We learn through their excellence and through their ability to make us realize our own personal growth.
"Children must be taught HOW to THINK, Not WHAT to THINK."
Only an experienced and trained teacher can understand the depth of this saying. The art of making a child THINK positively is greater than any other training. In today's world, full of competition, disasters, failures and depression, it's only the efforts of a Montessori teacher who taught the child to take matters positively and have perseverance can help in long run. Running away from a bad situation can never help, only a teacher can teach a child at a very early age to face and fight the situation. Even a child as small as a toddler understands and reacts and repeats the way we make him do. So, one cannot underestimate the importance of a nursery teacher and her impact on the overall growth of the child.
"If you fell down yesterday, stand up today."
Even after high investments on higher education, today's children are suffering more from depression and dissatisfaction. They are more jealous on others achievements rather than being happy on their own achievements. Only a teacher can train and regulate a child at an early age to cherish acceptance of other's success and be happy in life.
"Education is what survives when what has been learned has been forgotten."
A child forgets as he grows, but, still he never forgets basic alphabets, language and other Montessori syllabus. WHY? Because the impact of a nursery teacher can never be underestimated. No matter what happens or been taught later, a child may forget or may be irresponsive to it in future, but, not with what is taught as nursery education. All what is taught at Montessori and kinder garden classes always remains in the brain as the sharpest of memories. You can teach senior students if you have done your Bachelor of Education or masters, but, to teach these little masters you need a very special training and art of teaching called as Montessori teacher's training course. All free housewives and mothers of older children should pursue such trainings to start up their career or a new business. Such courses include high level study material and knowledge of tools to start career as a nursery teacher. In the end, I would say, "Only a good teacher can create a good world."
