The sun had not yet completely risen when Suga woke up. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, squinting around him at the dark small room. The dim starting rays of sunlight cast deep shadows through the abandoned shed around Suga, reminding him of the darkness of the Underworld.

The Underworld. His mind filled with thoughts of his father and the look he knew he would receive from him. Disappointment would scatter across Hades' face as Suga came back to him because of how long it took him to return with the news.

But Suga didn't want to go back just yet. He didn't want to leave this place of peace and warm sunlight.

He groaned as he stretched his body out, trying to undo all the knots in his sore body. He shouldn't have slept propped up against some old cabinet  for an entire night. He knew he would have been better sleeping in a place of comfort, but he had been too exhausted to think clearly last night.

Slowly, he pushed himself to his feet, bringing his arms up over his head to stretch even further. He was really beginning to regret sleeping here last night. His body was just too sore for anything more than a hobbled walk as he went over to the shed's door.

Suga opened the door and leaned against the doorway, staring out at the rising morning. It had only been one day in this new world, but he felt drawn to it, like he had been missing out on this atmosphere throughout his entire existence.

For once he felt like he was seeing things clearly and really experiencing life, instead of just going through the motions of existing.

Suga walked forward, shutting the door behind him, and took a seat on the fountain's ledge. He leaned over a bit to look into the water, catching a glance of himself reflecting back at him. His black hair stuck up in random places and he ran a couple fingers through it to try and settle it down. He didn't know if it was just the water and the white fountain beneath it, but he looked more pale than usual.

I bet JHope never worried about looking pale, he thought suddenly. That boy was literally sun-kissed by the God himself.

He leaned forward further as he stared at his reflection. His eyes were the only thing that clearly reflected back at him, the dark color matching his gaze. He wondered if his eyes shined like JHope's or even Jimin with his silver eyes. He wondered if there was anything other than the pitch black depths within them.

"Suga?" His name being called broke through his serene moment and he startled, almost falling forward into the water beneath him. His hand caught hold of the edge of the fountain beneath him and he was able to stop himself from disaster.

"Oh shit, sorry!" Suga turned to see a sweaty Jungkook standing beside him, his hands on his waist. "I didn't mean to startle you," Jungkook apologized.

Suga stood now, wiping his hands on his pants. "It's fine, at least I didn't fall in. Now that would have been embarrassing. What are you even doing out here this early?" Suga glanced around them at the dim morning.

"Running. I like to run," Jungkook answered without hesitation. "I run every morning in the forests back at home."

"Ah right, Son of Artemis, Goddess of nature and all the bunnies and stuff," Suga mumbled, his mind still muddled from it being so early in the morning.

Jungkook laughed. "Yeah, bunnies. What are you out here this early for? No offense, but you look like shit," he said.

Suga looked down at himself, noticing the dirt and pieces of grass stuck to his clothing. He shrugged, trying to act as nonchalant as Jungkook. "You know, just running," he answered back.

Jungkook snorted. "Running. Sure," Jungkook gave him an exaggerated look that said he was not buying a single word Suga was saying. "Then would you like to join me?"
