you can feel you chest tighten from the outcome of his words. it hurts more how easily he can just say that, with that blank expression on his face. still, he looked so beautiful in your eyes. you cry knowing you'll never be granted permission to see it again.
your body sets itself on a default setting. just barely doing tbe bare minimum to function. everyone can see it but you. you dont really care though.
It doesn't even matter
You see him from the corner of your eyes, like oil hitting a pan, you panick. picking up your pace and speed walking away before you think he sees you. God, you hope he doesnt see you. you dont want him to look at you like this. you have to look like everything is fine. you are fine. you aren't bothered.
Im ok. im doing well.
you're met face to face, and he still looks the same. a rush of memories hit you, the first meeting, first date, first kiss, first i love you, then the pause of conversations, the worry, the problems, the final say of his words before you both departed. it all crashes down once you hear him talk.
He's asking you how you've been.
As if you care
you smile and say you're fine. his eye lingers on your face. he knows. you know too. but neither of you speak on it.
you weren't fine.
yeet. inspired by my actual breakup! have fun kiddos uwu
