I sat down in the courtyard against the wall of the school and looked at the bento in my hands. Sukuyo put it in my fridge without me noticing before she and Mako left last night. I still didn't understand what all Mako said to me.

"Because you're my friend of course!" Mako exclaimed with a smile.

"Friend?" I asked. I never talked to her and had always ignored her, even when we walked home together.

"Yeah! Sure, we never really talk, but I don't mind that. You may not answer, but you let me talk to you and even let me walk home with you. You never told me off and you've never told me to leave you alone either, so I'd say we're friends!" she explained.

It took me a moment to process her words. I never had friends since I preferred solitude, so this was a different situation than I was used to.

"Um...thank you?" I kind of stated as I bowed to them both, confusion evident in my voice. "I appreciate the food and you're worrying about me. As for the friends thing, I've never had any so acquaintance seems to be a better term for us I'd think right now, Mankanshoku-san."

Mako still smiled and nodded. "Of course, Shina-chan! Call me Mako though, m'kay?"

"Oh...of course, Mako-san..."

I sighed. She was such a strange girl, as was her mother. I couldn't help but smile at the bento Sukuyo made me. The rice cakes were made into a fish shape, and she even made me weird shaped takoyaki. Just as I was about to take a bite a shadow blocked the sun. I frowned and looked up finding a black silhouette.

"Hello again Nekonami-san!"

"What do you want Sanageyama-san?" I asked as I started to eat.

"You need to come with me," he said quite seriously as he leaned against the wall beside me.

I frowned and glared up at him. "Can't you wait until I'm done eating my bento?"

"Sure," he said with a smile, "but Satsuki-sama doesn't take kindly to late appointments."

I froze up then placed my chopsticks on top of my bento. "I didn't know I had an appointment so it's your fault I'm late," I said nonchalantly with a shrug as I closed up my bento.

Sanageyama straightened up and started stuttering causing me to smirk. He frowned knowing he took the bait I set, and he turned from me with a smile.

"Why aren't you scared of me like the others?" he wondered aloud.

"Because I've been through worse than you..." I muttered and stood.

He looked back at me, though after I said nothing in response to his glance he started walking. It took longer than I would have liked to get to the room Satsuki arranged for us. The other elites were sitting on a couch, Satsuki sitting in a chair in the middle of the room.

Sanageyama took his place beside the other three stars leaving me with all their eyes staring at me. I clutched the bento to my chest feeling my anxiety start up but pushed it down as I bowed to Satsuki then straightened back up.

"You wanted to speak to me Satsuki-sama?"

I sighed as I drew the bow back. Satsuki wanted me to join some kind of club and be serious about it, but it just wasn't my thing to do them seriously. I was already in the swim club and archery, I just didn't fight is all.

"Shina-chan!"

I jumped hearing my name be called, the arrow flying from my hands. A girl caught it, plucked it right out of the air behind the targets, and I turned to glare at Mako. She shrunk down under my stare, and I ran off to the girl.

"I'm sorry! I jumped and the arrow slipped from my fingers!" I said as soon as I reached her.

The girl narrowed her eyes at me as she frowned then smiled cheekily.

"Ah, it's fine, I guess. You've good aim, it was lucky I was paying attention," she bragged as she handed the arrow to me.

"Oh?" I asked.

"Hey! You're in my class. I just transferred into Class K!" she smirked.

"Ah...well not anymore..." I muttered causing her to hum in confusion. "I'm being moved to different classes and whatnot..."

"Wah! Does that mean you're moving away?!" Mako screamed as she suddenly appeared beside me.

"Uh...it wasn't my choice Mako-san..."

Before she could cause a scene, I left. I definitely wasn't going to be joining a club. I didn't want to before and I won't now. I'll just settle for helping out Ira and Houka when needed. I wonder if that will be enough to satisfy her?
