3:02 AM The clock read.

Luna was lying awake in her bed at night with her phone in her hands while her head was resting on her pillow.

She was chatting with a former exchange student who visited her school, Royal Woods High School, for a little over 6 months.

6 months that went by way too quickly in Luna's opinion.

But they were great anyways. Sam, which was the exchange students name, was a really cool chick to hang with! And her english wasn't bad either, it was actually pretty fluent.

"Dude, are you secretly an american disguised as a european?" She once asked. Sam's response was laughter.

"No, but I get that often at home aswell." She said.

Luna smiled at the memory of her friend. She remembered the day she came to school and was introduced to her class.

The teacher guided a rather tall blonde haired girl to the front of the classroom.

"Students, this is Samuela Sharp. She took part in the international exchange student programm and will stay with us for the next 6 months." The teacher turned to the shy-looking girl. "Samuela why don't you tell us a bit about yourself?"

She stared at the class for a few seconds before speaking.

"Uh- Hi! My name's Samuela- but I'd prefer if you'd call me Sam." She looked around. "I'm from germany and if I was there right now I'd probably be fast asleep!" She joked. "I'm also a huge fan of all kinds of music!"

Luna perked up.

"Thank you Sam." The teacher said. "You can sit next to Luna for the time being. Luna do you mind?"

The purple clothed punk shook her head. "Not at all!" It's not like she could say anything if she wanted to, but she really didn't mind.

Sam made her way through the rows of tables and chairs until she finally arrived at her destination, which was Luna's table and sat down.

"Hey there Miss Samuela." Luna greeted and her new neighboor cringed.

"Just call me Sam, please." Luna shrugged.

"Sure thing, Sam! So I heard you like music~"

Her face lit up like a christmas tree. "Oh yeah! Queen and Rammstein are two of my favorites!" She stated.

Luna knew about Queen, but had honestly never heard of the other one. "Cool." Luna got out her books and pencil case. "Hey wanna sit with me and my buds at lunch?"

"Sure!"

And from then on out the two of them were hanging out almost all the time. And it lead to some funny moments too.

"So your birthday's- um... What's that word..." She mumbled the last part, but it was still audible enough for Luna to hear.

"What word?" She asked.

"The word for the day after tomorrow."

Luna blinked. "There's no word for that."

Sam turned to her in surprise. "You don't have a word for the day after tomorrow?"

"Nope."

This blew her mind and even to this day she thought it was an inconviniance since it 'made the sentence four times longer'.

She didn't exactly know when, but Luna had grown a liking to her friend from overseas.

An I-like-you-more-than-a-friend kind of liking.

Whenever she was around Luna's stomache filled with butterflies. And the fact that she always greeted her with a hug and a sort of kiss on both cheeks (it was really just touching Luna's cheeks with her own) didn't make her less of a bumbling fool in her presence.

And when the time came, she really didn't want Sam to leave and travel back to being a million miles away from her. She accompanied her to the Airport that day.

"I'll miss you man. May the power of rock be forever flowing through your pretzel-loving veins." She told her and Sam let out a chuckle.

"I'm gonna miss you too, Luney toons." She put her hand in her pocket and pulled out a small note. "Here!"

Luna stared at the paper. "What is that?" She asked before taking it.

"Oh!" Sam shrugged. "My number!"

The punk's face started glowing red.

"Wouldn't want you to forget me while I'm gone, would we?" She smiled

The paper was resting in Luna's hand, untouched as she only stared at it with the brightest flush on her face.

"Dude are you okay?" Sam asked concerned.

Luna didn't say anything. She only grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her into such a first kiss, it would be impossible to forget anytime soon.

She parted slowely after a few moments.

Sam stood frozen with a dark blush covering her cheeks. "Wow" she whispered under her breath.

"Y- You better not forget me ya hear!" Luna stuttered.

Sam's lips cracked a huge smile. "I don't think I could." An announcment was made through the speaker system, meaning that Sam's flight would go soon.

She wrapped Luna in a tight hug before kissing her on the lips again.

"Don't forget to call me!" Sam shouted as she ran to catch her flight.

Luna grinned. "I won't."

And that's how they ended up chatting whenever they could. Usually at night. Honestly the time zone difference drove Luna crazy.

"Hey isn't it late for you?"

Ah yes, Luna didn't like that question. Because if she told her how late it was Sam would send her to bed immideatly. And that meant they couldn't chat for a while. But she loved the fact that Sam was so concerned about her well-being.

"It's only 3:30"

"LUNA!"
"GET YOUR ASS TO BED!"

"I am in bed"

"I meant go to sleep!"

"Fiiiiiiiine"

She didn't want to admit, but she was actually really tired. She had a gig and only came home a few hours ago.

Her phone vibrated.

"Thank you." Sam had replied.

"Good night love~"

"Goodnight, ya dork <3"

Luna smiled and put her phone to the side of her bed on the mattress. She didn't want to accidently wake her sister Luan by walking down the ladder of their bunk bed only to get her phone to the nightstand. She layed down and rested her head on the pillow.

While she closed her eyes she thought about her friend. And she wondered when they'd see each other in person again. She couldn't wait for that day to happen. Luna would run up and hold her friend tightly, showering her in kisses and not let her go again.

She knew when she woke up it would be late for her sweet girl. And Luna hated it.

"One day" Luna thought. "One day I'll wake up to your beautiful sleepy face. And then we're going to share a horizon. And see the same sun rising through our shared bedroom window."

Smiling, Luna's fantasies about their future life were like a lullaby to her mind.

And so she would soon fall asleep, dreaming about her friend from overseas, who lived miles and miles away.
